9:20 fear, disbelief - I thought it couldn't have really happened, I started trying to reach my family and friends in NY to make sure they were OK, I wasn't able to confirm all of them until the next day, I got lucky that none of my friends or family had died.

11:00 fear, disbelief, horror - I saw the people escaping the flames by jumping to their death and then seeing the buildings collapse was the most gut wrenching experience of my life.

Later fear, disbelief, horror, anger, worry - I was worried that we were going to drop a nuke on Afghanistan or act in some other brash way, I was very impressed with how controlled and calculating GWB was with his response. Guiliani was a great source of strength on that day.

And you

Robby, I understand and agree that we must kill people to prevent further atrocities, that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it! Why can't you understand the difference?

I have in fact been in combat. I have in fact had contact with the enemy on numerous occasion. I have in fact had it with an enemy that I deserved to be burned alive for what they had done to innocent people. Although most of my thoughts in the matter are purely surgical, a small part of me hoped they would feel every square inch of the agony and suffering they put their victims through. I can and will not agree that taking a life is always and at every point a difficult and/ or self-hating act. I sleep just fine at night and if I ever have a recalled memory of a situation, it is usually because I am thinking about my Team and its own welfare. I am also not some uneducated ignorant 18 year old who has tried to "Get some" because it would make his Daddy proud. I am from the NY metro area and have been well educated in various Universities as well as having been in Special Operations for 5 years. I do not believe in racism or cultural discrimination. Everyone is entitled to their own way of life AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT HARM ANYONE ELSE. If you would like to prey to the Moon for 23 hours a day and eat yogurt for the 24th hour, go right ahead, I do not care. If every last terrorist had their skin peeled, I would not blink twice nor would I care about their welfare. If you do legitimate wrong, you deserve legitimate wrong.

For the people who can not separate culture and agenda from people of Middle eastern descent, you have a long way to go before you could consider yourselves truely American. Being American is to be able to live with other cultures as well as your own. It is sad how some think that most or all of them shoud pay for the acts of the few. But I will say that those few should pay with more than their and their family's lives.

Having been in a situation where the enemy is a group of actual evil do-ers, it brought me a sense of calm and relief that they would end up dead by my and my Team's hand. If you saw the attrocities committed by these people, I doubt that you would feel bad about the fate they had earned.

These terrorists are no different. They do not deserve to live. They do not deserve to be able to breathe while breeding such hate toward a generally benign people. They do not deserve to be allowed to die in their own and mostly painless fashions they choose. They should not be allowed to propogate their mostly ignorant and hateful ideas to a younger generation.

Knowing these things, I would absolutely not hesitate, nor feel ANY sort of pain and/ or remorse while taking their life or lives. Period. Some people need to be killed. Period. It is a sad reality bt it IS reality at that. It is also sad that these people actually need to be killed in order to better humanity. I see this as a method of shedding unavoidable ignorance and hate from this earth. Until this world has a legitimate method of PEACEFULLY keeping peace, war is inevitable and necessary. I heard a funny yet dead accurate saying once:

"Fighting for peace is like F*cking for virginity"

I think that even the finest of "Tree Huggers" will agree: Aggressive acts are part of human nature and will NEVER be rid from this planet, therefore peacekeepers will need to exist. The only way a peacekeeper has final authority or final say is by show of force. Some people are willing to test that force to see if it is real and can be bypassed. This event is called war. Very sad indeed.
