What Should I Smoke...

Yipee, Yipee, Yipee - I can't belive that I got the job!!!

Here is how it happened. Me and about 350 other people applied for a Program Analyst position working for the Federal Government.

60 people qualified for the position - those Ba$terds…and we were referred to the selecting official for consideration. They panel reviewed the resumes and dwindled the list to 20 and selected 10 applicants to interview.

I was one of the 10 and I thought what the heck at least I made it to the final 10…I also realized that at best I had a 10 percent chance. I smoked the interview (no pun intended) and the selecting official contacted my current supervisor for a reference. She told him that I had made it to the final two.

This was two frickin weeks ago…So, I thought that I did not get the position since I did not get a call. However, today - I received the official offer from the Civilian Personnel Office.

Yipee, Yipee, Yipee....

The question - What should I smoke to celebrate???

Regards,

B

Congrats! Hats off and tipped glassed to you my friend. Close your eyes, reach into your 'dor and I'm sure whatever you pick will be excellent!

I'll be celebrating with you tonight. I'll pour a glass of Samichlaus and fire up "an illegal" from one of my friends in Germany that just got promoted!

Congrats....yes, indeed a good time to fire up a celebration cigar.
My suggestion, the AF Anejo Shark sounds like a great choice. Never had one of those so let me know how they are.
As for me, I'll join your good fortune by lighting up a PAM Exculsivo, or maybe a AF Don Carlos.

Congrats smithbw,

More jobs means more money which means more cigars!!! I don't know what you should smoke because I still new and don't know much, but I know not to light up a Lone Wolf.

It is sooooo much like a Family here!

You all are "Great"!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the kudos...

I will be staying in Germany but moving to a different location. I will continue to swing a (good) deal every now and again sharing my personal treasures.

After serious deliberation I decided on the Shark....I did have a SS crying out for me too. As they were resting nicely together!

So, I smoked the Shark or should I say the Shark smoked me....Wow!

Preparation: Got the Rosewood Xikar III out and a box of Habano cedar matches. I wanted to ensure that I did this gar right.

Visual Inspection. The gars appearance is incredible and my mouth started watering - literally. The red ribbon really set off the gar. When I got the Shark out of the cello, I noticed this terrible white sticky substance "All Over" the gar. Now I know it had been laying in my humi a while but to have this type of plum...Wow!!!!!

The cut I made initially was too short. I noticed it based upon the tight draw. I tend to cut this type/style of gar short because I fear losing the wrapper. So, I had to cut a little more and received the perfect draw.

Burn. Even smooth and never got hot - that was until I was down to the nub. I hated putting this gar down.

Taste. What a stick, spicy, complex, smooth draw, rich flavors with a predominate spice that I would normally associate with Havanas. Wow!

Overall rating - UnFrickin Believable!

Low - My Brother - My hats off to you! Thank you for the experience! Yes, I smell a trade comin on!

B,

Congrats on the new job bro! (keep looking to the sky! ;-)

I have to agree with Rob, the smoke of choice for a special occasion is a Opus X Double Corona!

(or... my personal favorite... Partagas Série D No.4, the best there is to smoke!)

Yummy.

PT ;-)

Congrats B! Hope the package reaches you soon. There might be a smoke or two in there that would serve as a good secondary celebretory smoke.

Billy-
Got your package (THANK YOU!!!!) and remembered I hadn't toasted your new job yet.
So I broke out a bottle of Hahn, Cab Franc and a RyJ petit corona.

I hope your job is as good as my day off was!
