I believe what you do in the privacy of your own breakfast table is your business.
I am entitled to my own oppininon.
I don't condone your alternative breakfast life style.

Mmmmm, nice, big, thick waffles!!!! The kind that Hungry Man would sell if they sold waffles. The ones with the big squares that you could fill with real maple syrup (not that pansy colored caramel crap)!

You could put berries or fruits on them. But a real man would only do that if he had a lady present to initiate the discussion of the scene from "9 1/2 weeks."

You ****! You made me hungry! And not just for waffles!

No question.....WAFFLES. They are perfect every time(Eggo frozen). Now pancakes can be over cooked under cooked, nasty. I like to have one homestyle and one blueberry. It makes a good combo. The blueberry is too sweet alone so the homestyle calms it down but you have to eat one piece of each at the same time also with a mixture of hald regular syrup and half lite syrup.

EGGO WAFFLES???

Wow I can't believe I just read that!
I was under the impression that everyone here had a taste for the better things in life."toaster waffles" are in the same league as SWISHER SWEETS.
My advice is put the toaster away, and demand that PRNCESS get out of the pillow top bed,and go MAKE SOME HOME MADE WAFFLES,or else.

i like pancakes...i like them alot, but in the land of the rising sun, waffles are a treat and not a breakfast food...never hot, never with syrup, never bigger than your hand.

Now, i would take waffles 10 times out of 10...before japan, i would take them 7 out of 10.

I thought that was pretty cool, Brian.....

I did finally try those waffles you sent me.....

After I had one........ the rest were history! The chocolate and the strawberry ones were DELISH!!!

Ate them dry.... (but they were moist).... right out of the package.....

With a good beer of course....

They really were good. Over a pancake anyday!

Listen, let's just lay it all on the table.
I miss the good old days when waffle eaters were in the closet. All the waffle irons were sold out of the back of stores, under the radar. Now they're set out front for all normal PANCAKE eaters to see.All in attempt to get someone to just "experiment".The next thing you know your teenage son is hanging out at the WAFFLE HOUSE with other degenerate wafflers.Waffles lead to more HARD CORE BREAKFAST FOOD ,like Quiche,or Granola.
I for one have had enough!!!

NO MORE WAFFLES!

I blame BUSH.

burgess_b: I like granola, too. When I make waffles (like this morning) I put granola in my waffle batter. Only about 1 Tsp per waffle. Then I use 1 Tsp bacon grease instead of that healthy veggie oil.

BTW: why does the waffle recipe call for oil in the batter, but the pancake recipe does not? My wife says it's to keep the waffle from sticking to the iron. Her monther says it's to 'grease your insides.' No joke, that's what I have to put up with.

IT MAKES THE WAFFLE CRISPER!

My advice to all you waffle weirdos is enter a program.
The first step to a normal pancake life is admiting you have a very big breakfast pastry on your back.

"macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup."

Pablo, I have yet to try the mix that you sent but I did read that it can be used to make waffles as well as pancakes. Not the coconut syrup sounds like a great idea too.

Now that is just gay!
I suppose a little powdered sugar sprinlkled all over your waffles would be PEACHY.
Before it's too late eat something macho, like FROSTED FLAKES,OR COCOA PUFFS.

oh the humanity!!

Hash and eggs,I think we're'making progress.
As long as they're not soft boiled eggs.
Because we all know "SOFT BOILED EGGS" lead to CROISSANTS and MORNING TEA,and that leads to joining
the BOY GEORGE fan club.

Wheel, you really know how to make friends, don't you. LOL

I think JHC knows better when it comes to me cooking. Plus, there are many wonderful restaurants that make really good pancakes and waffles. There is no need for me to make them. If we didn't go out to eat, there would be hundreds of people without jobs. We can't have that.

Try making waffles and freezing them as an alternative to Eggo's.

They taste better, and are just as easy.

The Eggo-Swisher Sweet analogy is one of the best(worst) ones I've heard. Right on the money IMO.

Pancakes. Big, gut-stuffing manly pancakes. I actually like waffles, but can't tolerate any more kitchen equipment -- and there's no such thing (in my world) as "frozen waffles."

BTW, my pancakes? I kill 'em myself. I only kill what I can eat, and I emulate the Indians, and make use of the entire pancake. Very little waste.

I'll take freedom toast or waffles over pancakes any day. Pancakes just soak up the butter and syrup and turn back into mush. Waffles have that wonderful crunch. French toast is great with some butter and either powdered sugar or honey.
