Just tried one, I don't get it? Maybe someone can enlighten me, maybe it takes a few more.

Personal taste, of course. However, you didn't mention which ACID you tried. There are at least 17 different cigars in the ACID line, then you have 5
Ambrosias and a host of Subcultures. Many of them are completely different from the others. I can't stand 1400cc but love the Nasty. Could be that aromatics just don't appeal to ya. They are a good change of pace for when you want them.

I have only had Def Sea (last week). It is the milder ones they make. Got alot of attention from everyone in the billiard hall. My partner had to try one and he never smokes anything but cigarillo size. I mght try others some time. Kind of a hassle for me as they shouldn't be stored with regular smokes and humi space is at a premium for here. There seems to be quite a following for them, my feelings in a word - novelty.

I've tried Acid twice and can't recommend them either. I saw the post a few days ago about the Acid being an "aromatic" cigar. Bought one at my local shop, the "Kuba-Kuba" I think, and brought it home to smoke for the wife's opinion on the smell. While she said it smelled better than my usual cigars, I didn't care for the taste - it reminded me of incense.

I like acids for a change of pace sometimes. Maybe one or two every six months or so. They are ok, the 1400cc is kinda nasty. But I liked the Kuba kuba, I have a def sea that I want to try. They are ok, in small doses.

Yeah Acid can be a little foo-foo...but I will say that the Pimp Stick from Drew Estates Natural lineup was enjoyable to me....then again it's all personal preferance....

tommyt99 -- Acids are horrible. I would not let them take up any of your valuable humi space. Send them to me and I will properly dispose of them.

I find ACID cigars to be a great change of pace. Some are stronger than others and each has their own character. Dont give up on ACID's altogether because you have only tried one. While storage may be a problem for some, I often use an old ACID box to store them. It works great and keeps the cigars separate from the others.

IMHO, don't waste your money. I really really tried to like ACID's when I first started smoking cigars about 3 years ago. Since that time, I find them harsh and bitter a lot of the time. I have tried everything ACID execpt ACID 1. Go to the website: acidcigars.com, and you will see a pretty slick presentation. (BTW, Naturals are not much better. They are the tighest cigars I have ever smoked) However, they use a lot of tobaccos from all over the world. Some of these are "hard" to get and therefore, the cigars are inconsistant because they have to take what they can get (like Turkish tobacco...) Why would you want an air freshener when you could smoke a Padron or A Fuente or AVO or CAO or Perdomo?

If you like them, fine. But don't waste good money on them if you don't. (Bidders can kind of go nuts on these cigars)

If you just want a dog rocket with purfume on it, bid on that Lars Tetens Knock-off and save the money. Hands down, this is the worst cigar I have ever put in my mouth (it makes me sick just thinkin' about it)

Have to agree with Doc on some of that last comment. That so called Knock off is like smoking sh*t rolled up pretending to be a cigar. No where near Lars quality so dont even bother comparing it. But I love Def Seas they are one of my Favorites. I have tried different in the Acid Line Kub Kuba I like but just like anything they are not for everyone. Different tastes for different folks. My tastes are not the same as my neighbors( and for that he says THANK GOD) LOL

He's just jealous cause I didn't smoke all my Opus box I split with him..AAARRRGGG Matey

An Acid post is like one of Rick's Bush posts, sure to elicit passions and howls of execration on the right and left with damned few in the middle. I am one of the damned few. I like 400cc, Extraordinary Larry, and Nasty and do not like Def Sea and Kuba Kuba. Reminds me of the Connie posts at that defunct place, ask JReddoch which one. You knew by the title what the posts were going to be and who was going to make them, but you read them anyway because they are so entertaining. ;o)
