I smoked my first Bucanero Maduro Clasico and I can sum this cigar up in a few words.. yuk yuk yuk never again. Why even bother smoking these when you have AVO maduro and Padron maddie 5000 in the humidor. I enjoy trying differant gars but this one was a waste of the $7.95 I spent on it. I have yet to try the "O" maddie but I read differant reports.. Some say it's great and others say don't bother it has no flavor. What do you think is the best maduro on the market?

It still amazes me that someone can try ONE cigar ... and come to such a definitive conclusion. No one can really judge any cigar by just trying it once. But, to each their own ...

Thank goodness your first sexual experience was a good one ... ;^)

How do you know the first sexual.....oh never mind.
I like the Bucs (can't afford them as much as I like them) and I love the O maddies \! Guess I am part of the Hype machine.

so many maddies, so little time.
Seriously though, my faves are the El Rey del Mundo maddies anything tissue wrapped and the Avo #3 maddie.
HAve not tried a buco yet. But one gar isn't a taste test. Perhaps with a litte humidor time you would enjoy it better. I've found that's thrue for a lot of smokes I buy

My impression of this thread ... is that Stickbow is just 'trolling', to see if he can 'bait and hook' some of the true Buancero fans ... and just have a little fun in getting those folks in an uproar ... LOL!

I don't think he would honestly make a statement like that ... based on his first experience.

... at least I would hope that he would be a little more subjective, and develop a little more familiarity with any given cigar before being so judgmental!

Maddies:
Cream of the Crop : Padron Anniversary 1926, Fuente Anejo
Almost Cream of the Crop : Padron Anni 1964, New Romeo & Juliettta Maddies (just love these!!!!0
Also Great : Oliva "O", Padron (well aged), EDRM (well aged), Ashton

Then you have a number of good smokable maddies which are quite enjoyable but just aren't quite the experience that the brands above are. I'd put Bucanero in that category

I can vouch for the El Capitan Maduro....courtesy of SteveS (thank you sir).

I just smoked on two hours ago. (Hard to type with burnt fingers.)
I never tried a Buc before (maybe I did once when I was taken to the rum). All I have to say is:

Avast Ye Mateys! Find me parrot and hoist sail. We're sailin to the the open seas! Aaaaaarrrgh!

Really enjoy the classic maddies; and if you got them anywhere but Cbid, you paid way too much, but that goes for most cigars they sell.

Different flavor profile than a lot of the other maddies which is why I like 'em. Oh and they make me grab me eye patch n go arrrrgghhhhh!!

Oh WOW Slim are you sensitive or what? I have gathered a lot of information on these boards about different cigars to try, so I’m sorry if you think I am trying to bait the BUC fans. I have tried many cigars and discovered smoking the first one that I liked it or not and at $8 a pop I ain’t trying no more. I’ll stick to the Padrons and AVO. Maybe I should try 3 or 4 Bucs before I make a judgment but, I know what I like and these aren’t them. I was really looking for suggestions on Maddies to try, not trying to stir up anything.
As far as DrMaddVibe is concerned thanks for the help.
As far as first sexual experiences are concerned I don’t remember like most of you I was all by myself….
Wow you guys take things way too serious. Lighten up and enjoy the smoke…..

Stickbow,

My all time favorite maduro would have to be Padron but I also like the Buc. Full Sail and Peg Leg.

One of my go to maduros is the HDM Excalibur Prensado Oscuro.

Among some of my other maduro favorites;
La Pearla Habana Black Pearl
Early Release of the Onyx Reserve
Perdomo La Tradicion Cabinet Series
Perdomo Estate Selection

These are just a few of my personal favorites. There are many more out there, try them all!
