I'm off to play in a Poker Tourney at a friends house. First prize is $2,000... 30 people, 100 bux to get in. Last year, I was 5th... No money :-( I'm hoping for 1, 2, or 3 this time. Texas Hold um. Just like at Binions in LV. Wish me luck!

Lot of legends surrounding the Texas origin or the game. My favorite: it was originally called "Hold 'em and f*k 'em," for obvious reasons.

Well, I made it to the last round, came in 6th out of 31 people, but unfortunately, the money started at 3rd :-( But it was a good time, and I was close.

Nice. I picked up another $65 playing at partypoker.com yesterday. I've saved up $150 in quarters playing with friends. We're pretty small game hunters. :)
