I am trying to find out if it is better to place cigars in my humidor with or without the plastic wrappers.

Actually, to answer your question I will need to know more detail. Are the cigars box-pressed? If so, what ring gauge? Also, are you storing cigars with aromatic qualities, such as say a Lars Tetans? IF so, do you prefer them to Acid? Additionally, were these smokes purchased at your local tobacconist, or were they won on an overbid at this site? Furthermore, are you planning to maintain 70% relative humidity, and at what temperature will you adjust that to? Last of all, if the cigars are Salazaar Diplomats, smoke them immediately! There's no telling who might steal them...

Too funny!...LMAO...Take the cello off when you are going to age them or store them in your 'dor for a while...If you do what I do and smoke quite frequently and take a few to work, out to a party, etc, I leave some in the cello so the foot or wrapper doesn't get damaged enroute to wherever I am taking them...I lost my three finger case, so this works just fine...I was recently given a Traveldor so I only recently started to take the cello off of most of my smokes....Besides, real (wo)men only smoke cigars that don't come in cello...LOL...Hope this helps newbie!

Now THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is the way to handle a question a new person may ask when that question is a FAQ. Thanks, Rookie. You're a good man. Welcome, Bigstookie.

Thanks Rookie. I appreciate the heads up as I am quite new to the cigar world. As to tailgater I do not believe you will see me overbidding on some of the dog turds that are available. Thanks again

I think may be they should have a FAQ page on this site. We could let Wany answer all the FAQ's one last time in is usual sweet way. What do you think?

Welcome Bigstookie. Cello on if you are going to be transporting them. Cello off if you are aging them for future consumption. They age better naked.

Actualy,
the legal limit to toss a Cigar in the Humidor is basically the same Distance as that of a plastic tip Dart Board... 7.8 inches from face I believe... but I strech the distance out and toss them clear across the room when i'm board .. with the wrapers on they seem to last a bit longer in the Humidor then those without a wrapper... now im thinking why am I giving out all my secrets??? hey wanna make a trade??? I got some scratched & Dented Cigars for your well kept one's at a 2 for one deal!!!!! hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
