Had the Maduro late this morning.
From CI:
Perdomo Reserve Cabinet Series (#2)

This rich, full-flavored and slightly sweet Nicaraguan is gorgeous. The Perdomo Reserve line is one of Nick Perdomo’s best. In fact, Cigar Aficionado’s Insider rated it a ‘92’, calling it one of the top cigars of the year. The Perdomo Reserve is blended with Nicaraguan long-fillers, and covered in one of the most attractive silky and rich wrappers you’ve ever laid eyes on, box pressed, and aged over 300% longer than usual. Ecuadorian Rosado wrappers on the natural, or Nicaraguan Maduro leaf on the maduros. The flavor is exceptionally rich with hints of spice and a chocolaty taste. Nothing else to say except that you will enjoy this one. Size 5” x 54 ring.

This figurado smokes like some of it's big brothers. A lot of rich smoke, herbal with solid spicy punch and the slightest hint of creamy chocolate. The finish was tangy wood in flavor. 40 minutes of smoke time with the gray/black ash only falling once. Very nice!

Anyone else smoke one of these?

I have and enjoyed it as well as the other in the Reserve series(maduro and rosado). Sorry you were disappointed with the Gurkha. It is a mellow smoke I really enjoy while relaxing - like while cat fishing or watching my son play baseball(he is only 7 so it is not competitive).

No sweat Tony. Part of the problem was when I smoked it (late evening)and a the anticipation of a more robust smoke.
Sent you an e-mail too Pal.

Several folks here call them "Perdon'tmos" I don't see it. Personally, I've always enjoyed Perdomo's. Even back when it was Nick's Cigar company (pre-domo)...

I had a La Tradicion white label a few months ago that I enjoyed a lot. Red Label pretty god with some age on them, too.

La Tradicion and Estate Selection are my favorites of the Perdomo lines.

The #2 mentioned above is the Rosado, got a #4 Maduro (from Tonester I think) that might get torched tonight.

IMHO - Perdomo has such a large line variety, it is hard to believe people could say they do not like the brand.
