Lousy draw on my Bucanero Robustos

I just finished a 5 pack of the Bucanero Clasico Maduro Robustos that I won last week. I didn't expect each one to have a substandard light draw. I kept hoping that the next one would have a good draw. They had a draw more like the Lucky Strikes I used to smoke than a pricey high end cigar. Great flavor, VERY light draw, sort of like they were only half loaded. I guess my foray into highend cigar smoking ended in a trainwreck. Guess I'll stick to the cheap cigars where I expect quality to be lower.

I've smoked many a Bucanero and never had a problem with any them. I would say they are up there in my favorites spot.

Aaarrrggghhh !!!

I've usually found Bucs to be overfilled rather that underfilled. They usually seen to feel heavier than others...

I've occasionaly had a Buc that was 'tight on the draw' ... but they were few and far between. Usually, the cause was (the ones that imploded the back of my head), were just too humid.

I always give them a little time out of the 'dor before I smoke them, and that always corrects the problem.

One of the Full Sails that I sent to Magnafide, he also complained of it being very hard to draw ... but the second one (after 'dry-boxing' it awhile) ... turned out just fine.

Don't let one bad experience, with just one of their many lines, discourage you from trying the rest. You may be missing out on a new found love ... LOL!

BTW ... the Madro lines are (IMHO) much better than the naturals ... but I like a more full-bodied cigar anyway.

yeah, they're ok, if it wasn't for "you know who", I'd probably have a humidor full of them, but I cannot overlook that man's atrocities... For me, it would be like buying a French product made in China. I won’t do it!

I've found that most of the Maduro line are underfilled. That's why I stay in the El Capitan and Full Sail lines. X

Robby --- the first couple of times, it was funny.

Now it is just getting old and worn out ... why can't you just give it up. You've already shown everyone here the level of maturity that you possess, need you continue to amuse us?

... your ongoing attempt at repetitious debauchery is getting to sound more like mere childish contempt ...

Smoked my first Buc Classic Mad Robusto several months ago a couple days off the truck and was totally disapointed with its "straw like" draw. The Churchill's were a totally different smoke than the Rob's. Thanx for the reminder.. think I'll spark up
a Robusto tonight with some nap time on it.. will report in soon.

I will agree with what has been said here before. You need to smoke more than one Buc to get an overall picture. I will be going to a Bucanero tasting Friday night. Hope to sample several including the Clasico Maduro. Since you have finished a five pack you have had more experience than I have had with this line.

I'm just trying to piss Slim off. It's working :-) His buttons are large and easily pushed... He whined hard enough to get some well placed folks to request me to moderate my message. I’ve done so. It’s very ambiguous, obviously because there are qstns as to the meaning, but Slim’s goat is out there… Grazing way far away from home, easy pickings… Slim, I will continue to bash nameless faceless unidentified individuals, hehehe glad it gets under your skin :-)

Hey Slim, the first couple times I saw Hubcap, it was funny, could you do me a favor and not post him anymore? No? I didn't think so, that's why I wouldn't ask "seriously". I respect your right to self expression even if you don't respect others...

Robby --- Hubcap is the 'unofficial' mascot here at these forums ... and has been for many years. You just seek attention.

You didn't piss me off, you just occasionaly annoy me ... and I apologize for succumbing to your constant attempt to get someone to take the bait.

My bad ... while all the rest here seem to have had the restraint to ignore it, I just got tired of it.

BTW --- I really didn't have that much to do with you with the well placed folks requesting you to moderate your messages ...

... you managed to do that all by your lonesome self, now live up to it.

Before this gets out of hand ... I've said the last I will on this subject. I happen to really enjoy the recent civility of late, and most all of us here have worked together to change these forums for the better ...

I made my point ... so I'm leaving it at that.

damn! Oh well!! Not the first time I've been wrong. Seriously though, "lighten up", allow me and others our fun. I'm not naming names, clearly there was confusion surrounding my statements and the ambiguity in my mind justifies the protest. Just accept that some things are the way they are. No ad-homonym attacks please... 6’ 6”? No way!!

I'm glad to hear that others had crappy experiences with the Bucanero Robustos. After all the talk on this site about how great they are, I was beginning to feel like I was in the Twilight Zone. 5 freaking hollow tubes. I just thought that an honest report from the field by an unbiased observer might be appreciated.
