I smoked an Ashton early this evening while helping my son tinker with his motorcycle. After we put the tools away and cleaned up I smoked a no-name no label bundle cigar from the bottom of the humi. I think it was one of the tabacalera tambor sticks. With a little age on it, it was pretty good. My son smoked a Mayorga. Beautiful night for a change and no rain.

CAO Criollo, petit corona size, which ever that one is. I wasn't impressed with the first couple I had so I let this one rest for a couple of months. Much better.

when I get home from work tonight I plan on having a Torano Signature and a ice cold beer. Then I might try a sportsman reserve or a big butt (or maybe both) I got in trade the other day.

I thought I would be the only one admitting to smoking a less than "premium" cigar, but I see some of you have beat me to it. For me, a Flor del Todo. These get pretty yummie after 6 months.

It just goes to show with a little patience you can find some kick @ss smokes for less than $2. Tonight's stogie cost me 50 cents on the auction. At this moment, I can think of NOTHING else in life that gives me this much pleasure for half a buck.

Keep smokin' (]]]]]]]]]]]]~~~

I have to agree with Mr_ Vance, cheap smokes are great! What I don't understand is that on average about half of the cigars sold here on CBid go for $2 a piece or less, but you never read much about people smoking them. Personally I have enjoyed a number of cigars that I got here for 50 cents or $1. I think the problem is that people are be afraid that if they start saying good things about a cheap cigar it might drive up the price next time they go to bid on them.

Have not yet decided on tonight's smoke - but it will be tough to top last night's wonderful Avo XO (enjoyed while lounging in the hot tub with a bottle of port - only thing missing - a willing female).

DanD--if you don't mind me asking, where is she working?

I graduated from high school in '02. I just landed a job today at Diversified Financial (a mortgage company) in Rockville, MD.

I will be the assistant/bi*ch to the owner of the company. Hey, can't complain for 12 bucks an hour.

Started with a Sportsman's Reserve Torpedo which canoed badly. So I'm finishing with a Oliva "O" Omni. Just love those "O"s!

laxman,
My daughter is working at a little shop in the mall called Dry Ice. They make goofy stuff like chairs that look like giant hands. (dryiceonline) She's just there to keep busy until college starts. She has a scholorship to Wright State (2 miles away) and is in the University Honors Program. Your about double her pay. :-) At last check, she wants to be a Social Anthropologist.

BTW. Changed smoking sched. Smoked an Ambrosia Vann Reef with my wife. She wanted to try it but not finish it.

Tonight was a double cheapie night. started with a flor de los reyes and followed with a V centenial 500. I bought the flor de los reyes here on a blowout special but I don't remember the cost. I picked up 3 boxes at the time. wish I'd have bought more. the V centenials have been in my cabinet for a couple of years. both cigars were decent enough.

Tonight will be a W&D maduro I picked up here for 60 cents each. Damn taisty smoke for the price. Then I'll move on to a punch rare corojo I've had sitting in my humi for a couple of months just waiting to try.

I am a social anthropologist and have been teaching and doing a little research for the last 12 years. Great life if you can get through graduate school which can be a major bitch. Hope she reaches for her dreams. I am smoking tonight a little number rolled by a Miami Cuban. Pleasant Cameroon wrapped beauty.

Well it's a warm, muggy night but the Oliva "O" Oasis fits the evening just about right.
