Two cents worth: I haven't really had a situation that I feel causes one cigar to actually flavor another. However, I am very careful to avoid putting a "flavored cigar" next to a "straight tobacco" cigar. The reason is primarily aroma. I don't think the flavor transfers, but I do believe the aroma does. Interestingly enough, I think the aroma has more effect on how we perceive the taste of a cigar than the actual flavor does. For me, when I smell the aroma it influences the taste. Example, if you've ever taken a swig of what you thought was ice water after mowing the grass, but was actually Seven-Up it briefly tastes terrible until your gustatory/olfactory sensorium convinces your brain that you really haven't swallowed polluted water. I haven't said this very well, but bottom-line is, what you expect to taste/smell has to match up with your expectations of a flavored versus non-flavored cigar. If it doesn't, there is a disconnect between what you anticipate and what you actually experience.
