Just smoked part of a lonsdale from a 10 pack I won. I had to chew on a Cuban Honey afterward to get the crappy taste out of my mouth. I've Smoked the Honduran robusto and it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't agree with the description of the Vintage. Any comments?

unfortunately I bought two 10 packs a month ago or so and thought they were the worst cigar I have ever smoked. Had no flavor to speak of other than just really harsh smoke. Havn't been able to give them away!

I think I'll take mine downtown for the bums. I figure these guys are rolling 3 day old cigarette butts, these can't be worse.

I don't really care for the Vintage. The Honduran is really not bad, but you MUST put these away for at least 6 months. IMHO

I tried the Thomas Hinds some time ago - about 5 years. I see that they still have not changed.
Let us all remember that different people have different tastes. So, somebody out there must like em. It just aint us... =)

B

Is it a discovery that everyone has to go through?
One of the shortest smokes in my life.

Yeah, light match, puff on THV to light, draw, whoops, horrible taste,,,,,,toss!
You could age these dog rockets for 10 years and it would not help. Take them to the Hoboes and see what reaction you get.

I have some that have aged for at least 3 years and they have aged into............3 year old dog rockets. I rate them just below the Lone Wolf Signature Seris (the benchmark for handmade Dog Rockets IMHO).

They are not a good smoke at all. They burn bad, they
taste bad and they leave you with a bad taste in your
mouth for days.

Have only smoked the Hondurian version. As stated earlier, with some aging I find it to be a pretty good smoke. Not the first cigar I would reach for, necessarily, but I have tried worse. Never tried the Vintage version and based on feedback from the board, don't intend to.

More of the same.
Hate the Vintage, but the Honduran is actually OK.

My experience with Thomas Hinds....
Puff, puff
Toss
Gave the rest away as quick as possible so as to not waste room in my humidor.

This is a little too funny to be true, but last night I was out on my back porch enjoying a CAO black I just received in my last Cbid shipment. I set it down to go inside and get another beer. When I came back my cigar was gone. Well a little bit of looking and I found my dog behind the garage chewing it to bits. Well I was more than a little pi$$ed off, but later that night I threw one of the vintages to him and said “here, chew on this” He sniffed it once, and walked away………

Great one Cody. Lone Wolves and Bad Frogs are the only cigars to provide greater comic relief here. Do an archive search on THV and you'll be laughing for hours. Unfortunately, I have a 2 boxes that I bought retail before discovering cbid.

I've just been trying to wade my way through a 10-pack of these that I won recently. I've had lots of cigars that were better than these, to me at least. I'll not buy more again.

Bought a box two years ago thinking $$$ was right. Two years later, they still burn like crap. Only good as a cigar to chew on while mowing...

Well, 18 months ago I bought a box of TH Honduran lonsdales or did they call them churchills.... Anyway, I generally smoke good cigars. Last nights was a AF Hemi Maduro Signature. Last TH Honduran I smoked was about 4 months ago.... Not bad Not great. But I think I paid only $15 for the box of 25. I've had worse. I'll have to try another this weekend just to see if aging has helped. If your used to paying 2-3 dollars per cigar a 1 dollar Thomas Hinds cigar isn't going to be as good as your used to. But the box I bought was ok and smokable. Not a bad morning or lawn mowing smoke. I'll get back to this thread after I've lit another one up.
