This question is for the seasoned Cuban Cigar veteran. I was looking for a Cuban Maduro Cigar and the three places I went to didn't have. But the one store owner sold me one from his prvate stash. It was a Monte Cristo Limited Edition Cuban Maduro. Are there other Cuban Maduros? And if so what are your recommendations on which brand to purchase?

Slim,
It was the limited Robusto. I also forgot that I do have a Partagas Serie D #3 Limited Edition Maduro as well. I have not smoked it yet. I also picked up 6 Romeo y Julieta Cuban Cedros Deluxe #4 Limited as well. They are great cigs. I still would like Maduro though. Are there any non-cuban brands that are comparable?

... too subjective.
Would be like comparing 'apples to oranges' ... and would be up for extensive debate.

And personally ... I've found many domestic cigars that I find much better than many of the ISOM's ...
... but like I said, it's just personal tastes.

I was once told by a dealer that maduro cubans did not exist, at least for sale to the public, until the more recent spate of Edicion Limitadas. So I think Slim's answer about covers the waterfront on the issue of cuban maduro's.
