not sure Ron; I had one last year and it was just way too mild. Glad I traded for it instead of buying it. I think it's Conn Shade wrapped. I would guess the latter as well.

Dates do not alway reflect made on or harvest date; like PAM1964, Exodus1959,JdNA19701 - this you probably knew. However the Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection 1993 & 1997 DO reflect it. From the net:

"In an occasional year, a Macanudo harvest of Connecticut Shade tobacco includes a small quantity of extraordinary leaves. Since such leaves surpass the highest premium standards, they are set aside to be cured and aged for super-premium Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selections. Since 1971, a vintage quality harvest has occurred in only the years 1979, 1984, 1988, 1993 and 1997.

Mild to Medium bodied
Hand made in Jamaica
Filler: Dominican Republic, Mexico
Binder: Mexico San Andrean
Wrapper: Connecticut Shade Vintage Selection 1988
