Yesterday I stopped into one of Costa Mesa, CA's really nice cigar stores and they had signs posted,"Going out of Business" & "Closing in 2 Days"!
While it is always nice to find a "deal"(bought an Xikar for $20)and make some wonderful purchases, it is sad to see the plight of Tobacco Store owners in California due to the Rob Riener(do good prick film director)tax inquisition that has hit California in the form or various "six taxes" on booze, cigarettes, cigars, etc. Of course this money goes to the "schools"(HA HA). If California put all the money into the school systems that they claim to tax us for our schools would resemble Hilton Resorts. I am tired of the "crooks" doing things for the good of the people and then stuffing their pockets with the proceeds, thus causing honest merchants such as the Royal Cigar Society of Costa Mesa to close its doors after 5 years of business! Don't start hitting with "Political" board, 'cause this is about Cigars and what will soon happen to other states if you arent careful! The latest tobacco proposal barely passed, due to the lack of interest on voters and we will continue to pay over 50% of the price of a cigar in taxes! So everytime I use my Xikar I will think of the Royal Cigar Society and how much I dislike Rob Riener! Charlie
