We have heard a lot of complaining about people who overbid on auctions. My personal opinion on this is that not all cigar smokers are well informed like those of us who frequent these boards. I was wondering what are some of the BEST deals some of you have gotten on CigarBid. One of my best deals was $11 for a bundle of LaLuna LHB #1. Less than $0.50 per cigar for these is hard to beat. Anybody else get any great deals?

I just picked up a 5-pack of Estevan Cruz Maduro Torps for $11. I was pleased -- I've seen them going for a bit more. ALSO, I picked up a box of Flor de Florez Cab Selection Churchills for $32. A few years back, during the boom, I had tried these and liked them; they were going for about $6 and $7 each! I'm sure they're a close-out now.
As it's been said here before, you've just got to be patient; usually the one you've got your eye on will be up again. We've probably all fallen into that "newbie" habit of bidding a little too much in fear they won't be back around.

Well, I've been around since day 1 and picked up some great deals in the beginning. I'll try to remember some...here it goes...$9 Ashton corona 5 pk., $11 Cohiba (red dot) robusto 5 pk., $12 Avo No. 2 5pk., $9 Leon Jimenes No. 2 5 pk., $19 Carlos Torano (7x50) box of 25., $19 Don Lino Nic. Robusto box of 25 (I really enjoyed these). There's more I can't remember, nice post.

I may be a buck or two off but I think they are right. The first couple of months of C-bid were unbelievable! Especially considering there weren't as many "closeout" brands then. Ahhh...the good old days :)

Hey, Bud. That EC Torp is actually from a purchase I made in December, so it's got a little more time on it. Hope you enjoy it! No, unfortunately, my package hasn't arrived yet. Of course I am way down here in Texas; USPS often likes to take their time.

I remember the Carlos Torano, huge monster cigars, and they are so delicious! I wish these were available more, I still have half the original box. I bought a box of Adolfus torpedo for I think $25, and Fidalgo for under $20. The 5 Vegas doble coronas that were on special some time back for $19.95 wasn't it was a killer deal. The newer hot brands and the established like Fuentes always seem to go for close retail, but one can often find great deals on the lesser known brands, especially if one is an educated smoker and knows which dog rockets to stay away from at any price, El Mejor maduro is a great cigar that often goes for next to nothing. I hardly ever bid on five packs, as if that is all one gets, the shipping cost on them will offset much of the savings.

Yup...still have my box also. Nice big smoke and well worth the $19. I never jumped on any of the 5 vegas bargains, wish I would have, just smoked my first a few weeks ago(corona)and enjoyed it. A little milder than I expected but still tasty.
