After all the lead up, I was rather excited to attend our little NW herf. I showed up a little late because I was working. Apparantly it didn't matter. Okay, so the place had summer hours and didn't open till 6. I figured the early birds would occupy themselves for awhile and come back, while the Johnny-come-latelys would be right on time. I waited and waited, then I left, monkeyed around abit, and came back. Still no one showed. I wasn't going to let things be a total bust, so I went to the Triple J for coffee and smoked a Torano Signature. I got home just in time to catch 'The Thin Man' on TV. I guess I'll just have to smoke the cigars I planned to trade or gift myself (Brazilia, Double Chateau SG, and 1066). I apologize if I sound a little jerky, but I thought SOMEbody would show with cigar in hand.

Sometimes you have to spell out 'R.S.V.P.'

And translate it.

respondez s'ilvous plait (respond if you please) I was under the impression that it was a 'be there or be square' kind of deal and everyone was just totally L7 man.

It's French, that's probably why no one supported it.

Get your spot right. Summer hours, plus it was just a lame lo-cal!! I did go to the cigarshop next to the Roaster, if that is where your coffee was... I walked by, and caught some beer and grub there at the Roaster. Sounds like a good trade was to be had, brought PANs and La Glorias.

Hope nobody got pissed off because I was not exactly happy to go to a closed tavern.

I cut my weekend remodeling short, fired up the vette, by the time I was done eating I had other things to do. But overall It was a good day in Kirkland with the festival goings on.

Red, don't be disapointed. It just didn't workout. Have to try again at another time. J

Red..........
Sorry buddy. I encountered some problems with the plumbing I am doing on my kitchen remodel (I hate plumbing but am committed to doing this totally myself) and bagged out. Sounds like there was a time problem anyway.

Hate to hear you were totally stood up. Let's try and set this up again soon.

Guys and gals,

I found out that the Taps and Tabs changed their hours just recently. However I was there outside the front door at 3:55pm, lit up a IT Cameroon Legend Gorilla (love those Cameroon wrappers) and hung out by the picnic table just 10 yards to the right of the Taps and Tabs entrance until 5:15pm. No one walked up to the entrance in that period.

Brought the traveldor with me and had cigars to give and trade for anyone who showed up..... No one did. Sorry about the bar's summer hour situation (those T & T slackers!!!!). I had been going in there on Saturday afternoons on a few occassions this spring. I guess the Taps and Tabs crew decided to slack off... or maybe business was just too slow. Things are so different here than back east. Everyone escapes to bars on sunny days back there, where here they'd rather go out on a boat or in the woods when the sun shines.

Anyway the summer hours just started up without my knowledge. (SLACKERS!!!) My sincere apologies on that one..... But we should give this another shot. Anyone else have a good idea for location??

PS I was at my booth at the Summerfest at Marina Park in Kirkland from 12:30 to 3pm

I'm truly sorry not to check into the change in the tavern's hours. That caught me off guard. Honest mistake, guys.

Nevertheless I hung out by the entrance for over an hour to try and hook up with you guys and no one showed up. Again my apologies for the planning. To characterize that as being stood up is a bit unfair considering the hour and 15 minutes I spent waiting for any one of you to show up. Had one of you been there between 4 - 5:15, I think something could have materialized. Maybe you did show up between 4-5:15 and you just read the sign in front of the tavern and didn't notice the guy off to the right puffing the Indian Tabac. (Perhaps I was feeling stood up a bit too..think about it)

Lets not harbor any hard feelings over this... Obviuously there is a group of us that want to get together to be friends and enjoy cigars together.... So lets try this again and this time someone else can pick a location.
