Do a Google search under "Fuente Cigars" and click on the site that lists family in it's name (I don't know if it can be listed here)...

Go to the listings under Cigars...there you can hold the mouse over each cigar for the name and size...

I'm sure Slim can fill you in on the sizes of Fuente's Limited editions: Untold Story, Between the Lines, Best Seller, and my fav - the Work of Art.

The Fuente Hemingways are:

Short Story: 4 1/2 X 46/49
Signature: 6 X 47
Classic: 7 X 48
Masterpiece: 9 X 52

These ones have the pigtail that you've mentioned...btw, only light that little pigtail tip when you light up...that's all you need...

Let me look into that one ... I don't recall a Fuente of that length having a 'pig tail' at the foot ...

... Curly Head's do ... but are about 6½ inches long. and come in both natural and maduro wrappers. They are mixed filler ... and a good, mild, inexpensive yard cigar.

Maybe soneone else has heard of one that is 5½ inches long with a 'pig tail' at the foot??

Oh ... what you are referring to as a 'pig tail' is normaly called a 'nipple' ... well, at least, that's all I've ever heard them called.

But, if you say it was a Hemingway with a Maduro wrapper ... those are not production cigars, and very hard to find.

The Best Seller ar Work of Art (which ar not Hemingway's) are in that size range, and the WOA does come in a Maduro ... but is harder to find.

Now I'm confused ... does it have a 'pig tail' or a 'nipple' ...

Can you take a picture of one, and post it?

phenix007 --- you got it right, but I'm still confused as to what you mean by 'pig tail'.

The Hemingway line, Untold Story, Best Seller, Work of Art, Between-the-Line ... all have a 'nipple' at the end of a tapered foot that is open at the end for lighting. There may be others out ther that have this type of foot. The CAO Napolean has a foot of this type, as do many of the Perfecto syles ...

Some cigars have the leaves 'twisted' or folded at the foot to create a 'pig-tail'. Kind of like the wrapper on salt water taffy. Some of the rare and unreleased Opus X have these pig tails (usually at the cap), some of the Bohemian's have them, and a few of the others have them.

You need to help us out a little more with a little more information if you can, and you need to be more specific ... or we won't be able to help you.

sorry about the confusion on my part slim...went to the family site and still didn't see it ...guess my dimensions were off...I'll try to find one to look at at a shop...the twist of leaf at the foot was obviously to assist in lighting evenly and it worked well...thats what im calling a pigtail...the foot was also tapered not the head...now that I think of it it well may have been 6-6.5 in. long definitely a fuente....given to me by a guy even more of a novice than I am...thanks again for your efforts..CB

OK ... glad you hear that you got that figured out.

Just for the record ... at the foot, it's not called a 'pig tail', that's what threw me off.

A 'pig tail' is usually found only at the cap, and it looks like a pig's tail, kind of like a curlicue ...

What you were referring to, is basically just called a 'perfecto tip', or 'closed foot'. Many just call it a 'nipple' ... for lack of a better term.

Note the raving about how good the cigar was..... It just has to be a Hemmingway Signature. I had one last night from a 3 in the leather case deal from Cbid. Truly one of my 5 most favorite cigars. They sell them here occassionally but they do get bid up to retail pretty quickly.

As far calling the lighted end a "nipple" is concerned, you don't light a real nipple (unless the you really like that rough stuff). Well I supposed you could turn the Hemmingway around and light the cap end to satisfy your "sucking on the nipple" fixation but you'd be sucking hard to get any satisfaction.

Hey it comes down to this, sucking on cigars may stimulate orally but real nipples (my preference) go much farther. There's just no substitute. Now that we're on this subject.... I'm going skip the cigar and have some fun with my wife...
