I was thinking of buying some Al Capones. Anyone ever tried them?

To clarify, I'm talking about the full-sized Al Capone cigars, not the cigarillos. I have had the cigarillos, both the rum and cognac variety, and I love them (I just hate that they seem a little overpriced compared to Villigers, Biddies, and other high quality ones). I thought maybe the big Capones might be as tasty as their little brothers.

Any opinions?

Unless Al Capone full size cigars have suddenly gone back into production, the only ones available are quite old. They were marketed by Intercontinental Tobacco, now defunct. Rolled in Nicaragua, they were largely of Jalapa tobacco. When Intercontinental ceased, the brand and inventory of old product was taken over by Indianhead...but it appears that Indianhead either changed its name or is defunct. The long and short is: the Al Capone shorts and sweets are made by a different company than the full sized cigars.

I bought a box a couple years ago. I only have 4 left. OK smokes. Nothing great, but I've almost smoked em all, so they can't be that bad. ;)
