did anyone else happen to catch this thread about C-Bid on the CA site? Pay particular attention to the last post on the first page of the thread.......

It's not curious to me. They are simply;

A) looking for email addresses from loyal cigar bid customers who would be rightly furious at the incipit and ignorant nature of the post.

Or B) Too stupid to understand the fact that you can bid what you want to pay! If someone outbids you, oh well... You have other cigars in your humi and they'll likely come back up for bid again. I have personally seen MANY cigars that I have purchased come back again and again. Sometimes I pay more than the lowest bids I've seen, usually less. When someone get's something I like for less than I've paid, I feel good for them! Good deal!! Good Job!!

All I can say is that must be one heck of a climate controlled trailer they've got over there. All my cbid smokes have always been top notch. People can post whatever BS they want. The truth is in the smoke.

I was mainly reffering to the post that stated

"I have been to cigars international once last year were I found out that the cigars they use for cigarbid are not their best cigars. The cigarbid smokes aren't even kept with the cigars they sell as CI. They are kept in a trailer outside their warehouse. It's all leftover stuff from part boxes that were not in perfect shape."

I know it a bunch of BS, I just can't believe the amount of ignorance that abounds these days. But then again, I shouldn't expect much, a good deal of the posters at the CA forum wouldn't know a good cigar from their di*k.

And I agree, sounds like B.S., I've never been disapointed and I've bought/won MANY boxes... And hope to buy/win many more :-)

If you found Jennifer Lopez in a trailer, would you scorn her because of her location? Or would you gently cup her buttocks, lift her out of the trailer, and say, there, there, it will be alright now...

That was probably Digisle, trying to make them look bad.

That doofus only makes HIMSELF look bad. Terrible as a matter of fact. Just unbecoming conduct for a gentleman.

I doubt it's 'didisle' ... as I have his ISP email addy (he posted it her once before), and his anonymous account (he has emailed me with his gutter-mouthed comments) ... and unless he is paing for another ISP ... it's not him.

To me,just a case of running mouth before engaging brain (I've been known to do the same but try to keep it to an absolute minimum). The idea of using a trailer to house cigar discards simply doesn't make sense; how would you explain the sealed boxes of premium cigars I've received from CBid? Finally, in any auction it is your discretion to bid whatever you want to. I myself have at times bid more than I should on cigars to win the lot, but I did so because I wanted that lot. And even when IMO I've overbid, I've still gotten the cigars at much less than MSRP and less than they are sold for on CI's site/catalog. And the comments about "high/expensive shipping" are incredulous. I don't know what delivery carrier the posters are using but the shipping for my weekly lots have the opposite influence on me, i.e., I sometimes have the convoluted thought process that I may bid a little higher BECAUSE the combined shipping is such a good deal I'll offset the difference that way! Finally, if I felt I was being "taken" in any way, phantom bidding or otherwise, I'd simply take my money and myself elsewhere.

Sorry about the rant. I got carried away. And yes, I'd feel compelled to help J Lo out under any circumstances!

Hi,
Just found this site. Already made a post and got some great info. To the point.

The reason I found this site was because of the thread at the other site. While I have yet to get any cigars off of cigarbid, I have found that the forums are far less stuffy. In fact, I was yet to be able to post there tonight, so I am not sure if I am supposed to be offended or not. :)

Anyway, have fun.
