I've had just the opposite problem. When I first get my cigars (generally from Cbid but other places also), they are usually too moist. Typically I will put them in my humidor for 2-3 months before I smoke one (sometimes I just can't help myself and have to smoke one immediately), and this usually levels the RH out. I still believe they are shipped with a too high RH to take into account the shipping time, conditions, etc. Of course, I like a cigar more at 62-63 RH as opposed to 70+ RH (I believe it improves the draw without affecting the taste, but that's a personal preference), and this usually works for me. Maybe you aren't giving them enough aging time (more important for some brands than it is for othrs) before you smoke them. Just my thoughts............
