Talked with Robert about the being the ambassador for Greenville SC. Funny we spent most of the time talking about Slim and hi knowledge of Cigars and the Industry :-) I told hime thats why I like these boards cause of Slime and the other brothers who teach me ( grasshopper ). He is gonna send me some samples and info so I can talk to the 2 local stores here who never heard of this brand. Thanks to my trade I have enjoyed one of those babies and can't wait until I can get a couple free boxes :-)

First you post this on the WRONG board ... then you go and call me 'SLIME' ?!?!?

... oh, never mind ... since you said favorable things about me, and it was an honest mistake ...

... the 'LOD' will crawl back under his rock ... LOL!

And remember, cccbus ... those boxes wont be 'free', you'll have to earn them ...

You're going to have to turn on the 'salesman' charm, sharpen up you 'silver tounge' ... and secure that account!

But, that won't be too hard ... just use those samples wisely, and they will practically sell themselves ... ;^)

I went into a cigar shop in Westwood, CA, home of the UCLA Bruins, and asked the owner if he had Bucaneros. He said he has never heard of it, and I was so surprised. The next time I have a Bucanero, I be walking into that shop with a sample for the owner. Maybe he'll stock up on it. Another shop near Westwood doesn't carry Bucaneros either, but the owner knew of them. I think my mission will be to spread the gospel of the mighty Bucs.

Ok..just so you know I was careful for the finger not to hit the e on that firstone. but I got focused on all the "nice" things Robert was saying about you. And just so I also know so you can set my expectations. What is to be posted on the " cigars and related board " and this should have been posted where?
And Yes i know they are not free...I got to earn them. But they tell me I can sell ice cubes to an eskimo, so we shall see LOL. My finger is trying for that e again. Slim there..I did it...now to ge and rest my finger. Kept pulling it away fro that e so much I think I sprained it

cccbus --- don't get upset!

I guess my attempt at humor in my first post wasn't as obvious as I thought ...

... just trying my had at some 'tounge-in-cheek' with a little levity ...

Believe me ... I really appreciated your post!

I am not upset slim, I guess you and I are not communicating well on email. I just read over my email and I guess it does sound like I am upset. But I truly do want to know what should be on the Cigar and related board. I thought the original post was cigars and was related to such so I took an educated guess. I just need my to know the rules to follow them. I am not upset at any one or anything ( well I am at work so thats not totally true LOL ) I have learned and teach "talking to people in person" but email is a whole different animal. I need some teaching 1 on 1 on this subject. And probaly some remedial time. I will try to remember to end my statements with I am not mad LOL. Maybe that will be a replacement for body language.

No big deal, cccbus ... like I said, I tried to reply to this one wearing my best 'LOD' outfit ... ;^)

It's really simple, though it seem than some have a hard time with those ambiguous posts, and honestly, some could go either way.

It's just common sense ... ANYTHING relating to 'Trades' (that would include trading, gifting, bombing, b-day club, looking for cigars, thanking someone for any of the five) ... the most appropriate place to put those threads, would be on the 'Trades' board.

Anthing NOT 'Cigars & Releated' ... should go on the 'Miscellaneous' board. But like I said ... some can go either way. Discussing the 'Bucanero Ambassador Program' is one of those that could have gone either way ...

... and in my attempt at humor, I chose to include it in my reply to you, because it just seemed to make it a little more weighty ... You know, not only did you do this, but you also did that ... yuk, yuk, yuk ...

But heck ... those 'ambigious' ones give me something to 'whine' about ... and it seems that those are the only ones 'jjohnson28' seems to like to post on (anymore) these days.

That's another attempt at humor ... BTW ...

I am in Vegas and had trouble finding Bucaneros. There is only one store here who carries it. I contacted Bucanero and explained that I was sure I had a store that would love to carry their smokes. They sent me samples and I sold the store on the smokes. They contacted Bucanero and were apparently told that because Bucanero tried to sell to them a while back and the store was not interested at that time, Bucanero was not going to sell to them now. Surprising, but I think that was my shot at being an Ambassador. Since I do most of my shopping here in CBID most of my relationships with local stores have suffered.

RZiems --- I know Robert (President of Bucnaero) personally ... we have talked many times on the phone, we have conversed in many emails ... and I have even met him, and spent several hours with him in person.

What you just said really shocks me ... because that goes against Roberts convictions, philosophies and just about everything the comany stands for ... something is just not right here.

If you wish, I will convey your situation to him ... I'm sure he will be very interested, and I know he will make it right. There has to be some explanation ... as I can't see him, his brother, or any of his sales reps telling a potential customer 'NO, you blew your chance, so can't sell our cigars'.

Email me at [email protected] if you want me to proceed with this ...
