cooksta2, thank you for serving and protecting my rights. I mean this sincerely. I truly appreciate the sacrifices of those who've served. I know it involves sacrifice... My father served in WW2. My brother served 20 years in the Navy. I personally did not serve, but I hold those who did and do in the highest regard and have deep respect and thankfulness for all you are doing and have done..

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

cooksta2,
Tarheel,
Jimmy,

And others who I have not listed. Thank you and I salute you.

In my 19 plus years in the USAF, I have always been taken back when someone will see me in my uniform and walk up to me on the street somewhere around town and take the time to thank me for what I do. It touches you in a way I simply can’t describe. You stand there speechless for a moment, then as the tears well up in your eyes you somehow choke out a “your welcome”.

With retirement approaching in about 6 months I know I will never find another career that will give me the satisfaction or sense pride that I have felt over these past 19 years. I will surely miss it.

For everyone out there, I highly recommend that every time you see a member of the military you take the moment of time to walk up and simply say
Thank you……….

kcody --- I served in the USAF over 25 years ago, and I have an Air Force pin that I picked up from the local Vetrens Hall that I wear on my basball cap.

You would be amazed at how many times waitresses will be taking our order, and then thank me for serving my country ...

It amazes my wife ... and I tell her that pin is a real 'chick magnet' ... LOL!

As One who served during a time when it was NOT popular and who more people spit on me than thank me , I also thank those who are serving our country which includes my Youngest Son who is approaching his 3 rd hitch. You all NO matter how popular the conflict may be, are giving us and yourselves and your children the GOD Given right to voice your thoughts and also giving that right to those who do not serve for what ever reason, and should always be remembered and cherished as our protectors.. Thank you and your family's for such a great Job , and may the person UP-Stairs keep you all safe.... TinMan

Sincere thank's to all of you men and women who have served. It is because of you that we have the freedom's that we all have in the United States Of America. I did not serve either I was to young for Vietnam and much to old for any conflict after.Thank You does not even come close to the graditude that I have for all of you.
