Yeah, I wasn't paying attention on the auction I bid on, cause there was 3 minutes left and there was one left out of 3, so I figured it wasn't much of a concern.
I never would have imagined that someone would come in and overbid and take 2 of the 3 and knock me out.
One, I could see. But 2 is just being a jerk [not my first choice of words].
If that is the way the game is going to play then by all means, I have no problem with playing hard ball.
I won't need to max out a credit card, that is what debit cards are for. :)
I've spent enough at other auctions in cut throat bid wars that it doesn't bother me to outbid someone, but I had the impression that these auctions would be "gentlemen's" auctions. What was I thinking.
As far as storage, what I don't have here, I have available somewhere else. I just haven't had access to folks who could give me input into some of the different brands.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer to play by the rules of the majority, but get irritated when I find out that others don't. Oh well, thanks for the tip on the cigarsinternational.
Generally I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the price if it is what I want, but I hold to the principle of, --- I decide the price I want to pay, if the bid goes past it, I will purchase it outright from somewhere else and it won't bother me to pay a little more.
I watched an auction earlier for a sample Baccarat and because of various reasons, I got knocked out with minutes left. I went somewhere else and purchased it for a couple bucks more. I end up giving away more stuff than I end up keeping.
Ha ha, life goes on. There will be plenty more. ;)
Have fun.
Tell me to shut up if you want. LOL!
