As a newbie, I had never seen or heard about these until my local store got a box in and the individual coffins peaked my interest. So... I did some searching and it looks like some people liked 'em but a lot thought they were over-rated. Haven't heard anything recently. Just wanted to get some more opninions. What would you compare it to (quality/taste/etc.)??

I can't really compare it to any other cigar ... it's just a great cigar, IMHO.

These special cigars are made from a wonderful combination of six different types of Cuban seed fillers.

Habano seed binder and sixth priming Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper that imparts a flavor that is second to none.

This complex cigar has been aged since September 1, 1995, but they say the Rosado wrapper was aged 15 years before rolling!

Thanks Slim... I heard it is flavorful, but not very strong??? I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth the price to try it out... even if I only buy one...

sounds (and looks) like it's worth a shot...

There is, IMHO, a vast difference between the terms 'strong' and 'full-flavored' ...

The Odyssey is not strong, has no harsh edges or bite, doesn't assault your taste-buds and other senses or render you comatose ...

It is, however, a complex, full-flavored cigar ...

Would you rate it as high as a PAN/PAM or Opus X ??

PAMs are, IMO, the single best domestic cigar ... and while I know there's gonna be plenty who disagree with me on this next opinion, yes, given my own taste preferences, I think the Odyssey to be the equal of a FFOX

Different, it's difficult to rate head to head when you get to really good gars, but if I had to, I would say the PAM/PANs are better. Also, I'd say the Ohpiss are better.
