What do you like to drink with your cigar, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. What kind of drinks compliment what kind of cigars?

I actually drink ginger ale with my cigars a lot of the time. I find that that little bit of ginger spice goes real good with something in a Cameroon wrapper.

I haven't experimented too much with drinking alcoholic concoctions with cigars. The most I've had is a beer with one, but the time I did, it was just a Coors Light (cheap, I know, but I like 'em), nothing special.

I lean toward dark beer or red wine, but coffee or Dr. Pepper seem to work well, too.

Never really tried one of these new "non-alcoholic" drinks. Where do you get them?

Bourbon, Diet Coke, Coffee, red wine, Cognac, beer.

Some people like Vanilla Coke but it's not my cup of tea. No tea either.

If I'm out, Glenfiddich or Macallan if available...if not a Long Island. If I'm in, Jack Daniel's or Courvossier (sp?). Sometimes, just rum and Coke.

I drink many things with a cigar, when I'm thirsty. Rebel Yell is a good sippin' whiskey (sour mash) to smoke medium to full bodied smokes with, as is Makers Mark, Crown Reserve is a good blended whiskey. A tawny port is always good with a medium to mild smoke, a good Cabernet is too. Brandy's are a great before or after dinner taste with a good smoke. If you don't want competeing flavors, then water is the choice, or a cleansing soda (like 7-up or Sprite) is a good choice with a mild cigar. On a hot summer afternoon a tall class of ice tea is great with a stogie. Lots of choices, lots of possibilities.

Don't mean to obliquely hi-jack the thread, but I've read a lot on the boards about "aged port" or "vintage port." Never been much of one for fortified wines but would like to maybe give it a try with a cigar. I've tried Taylor's, as well as other Ports you would typically find in your ordinary, garden-variety liquor store, but I suspect ya'll are talking about something several steps above. Any suggestions on brand names, or where to buy them? Online?

I usually drink coffee or some type of soda but sometimes I mix a very strong dark roast coffee w/ condensed milk and pour it over ice. Damn is it good. The first time I had it was at a vietnamese restaraunt and I have been a fan since.

I highly recommend apple juice or grape juice (especially white) for alternatives to wine/spirits.

I prefer fire water(Fire,Fire...spoken in Beavis & Buttheadeese!),lol.

Depends on the smoke, depends on the time of day. Sometimes I like a beer, sometimes a diet coke with lemon, sometimes a rum on ice, sometimes a Drambuie, sometimes I just reach in there like Tom Hanks did and sing the little drink of the day(for him it was a spice rack, but you get the point.)and grab four fingers of whatever I grab.

Depends on the cigar and what time of day it is. Coffee or espresso is good (I have a small batch coffee roaster nearby, so I get GREAT coffee), single malt (hooked on Bowmore Mariner 15 yr right now, also like Highland Park 18 yr with a splash), Guinness stout, or Whisker's Blake Tawny Port. In fact, my tasting method for a new cigar is to get a double espresso machiato(that means a splash of milk & foam)and light up.
