Just read on a news site that Larry Flynt is putting his name in the hat for Gov. of CA. With the ideas he has about generating revenue, maybe he would lower the tobacco taxes for all you out there in CA??!!! :)

Oregon already has the beaver. I think he is planning on changing the state tree to the **** Willow, though.

Yeah...my first reaction was humorous also...but on the other hand, I think the problem with politics is politicians. It would be refreshing if someone who is a regular person could actually get elected. But then again, part of getting things done is dealing with those who are getting it done with you. I might support Flynt out of novelty if nothing else, but I doubt he would be able to get other politicians on board with what he would want to do.

If a former WWF wrestler who wore feathers in the ring can become governor of a state, then anything goes. So it might be the Porn King versus the Terminator. Ain't we lucky in California.

Win or lose, we should expect a magazine featuring "Election Campaign Volunteers: Hot Chicks Bare All"

Yo billyjackson: Larry Flint if elected would have trouble getting other politicians to follow his lead after all what incentitives could he possible offer them, hmmmm lets see he's worth about a bizillion dollars and can afford the best cigars and liquor money can buy and oh yes WOMEN he does seem to know some. But as history has shown us our Congress and Senate men and woman can not be bought, yeah right.

well, it's a bigger menangerie of candidates comin' out of the woodwork by the hour ... the opinions in the rest of the country that Californians are a bunch if nuts and flakes are surely about to be reinforced ...

My favorite candidate is one I saw at Market and Montgomery in SF the other day ... an unemployed 30 y.o. single woman who not long ago was laid off from her $15 per hour job at PeopleSoft ... she's (ticked) off that she's had to move back in with her folks and is taking a shot at being able to live in the governors mansion.

Of course she, like Flynt and all the other oddball candidates are gonna be blown completely out of the water by Arnie, but I'm willing to bet that this gal will be seen by any number of prospective employers who're gonna make her a job offer for having had so much get up and go ...
