I never see this cigar talked about much, so I thought I'd post my thoughts.

I got a 5-pack off CBid for 20-something bucks and decided to try one today.

I expected it to be very full-bodied and heavy, as the name implied, but when I first lit it up, I was surprized that it tasted very mild. It had a nice aroma to it, with an almost coffee or bittersweet chocolate taste (no hints of olive loaf or pencil lead, sorry Marvin Shanken).

Then, about a quarter of the way down, the flavor started to intensify and it started turning full-bodied. I was pretty impressed! It turned out to be a good, complex cigar. I don't know if it was worthy the MSRP, but it was good nonetheless, and I got it at a good value from CBid.

Godfather also had one, but he didn't like it that much.

Any opinions out there?

I smoked a pretty good number of these a few months back but thye just got too pricey for me. I did like the cigar very much as it was full bodied with a kind of thick and creamy smoke. I have only one left.

I am not a big fan of these. To me, Cohiba is about the smooth, medium-bodied flavor. I think some harshness was the trade of for the fuller flavor. Kind of like the Macanudo Robust compared to the normal Mac. Fuller but dirtier IMHO.

Less expensive and more flavorful than the regular red dot Cohibas.

I like 'em. Good smoke, well made, overpriced. That's why I buy them through CBID.

Agree with THL.
Because of the retail, I would not buy these through anyone but Cbid. They are a good $4 smoke.
