Was at my local cigar shop today. Right next to the Opus X there were some fancy looking Diamond Crowns. They have the same rules as Opus X (can only get 2 per customer per day) I can't remember the name but looked great (had a fancy green band). I should of bought one but I'll get it in a few days and let you know how they are. Anybody know about these?

These are AWESOME... Check out the DC No. 7 Torpedo - both in Natural and Maduro !!!!!

Same composition - filler and binder as Opus X but with a Double fermented wrapper..... They are the Opus X type cigar west of the Mississippi - The entire line is 54 ring and this is one of the absolutely best "domestics" around today !!

CBid used to carry them regularly - but they have been absent for FAR TOO LONG !!!! Anybody at C-Bid listening -- let's get the DCs on the Auctions again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I can't wait to go back to the shop. They had the Maduros. Do you think the 2 limit is a Fuente thing or just a store thing. If it's something Fuente is doing, we'll probably never see them here again.

I don't think it's a Fuente thing. At my local shop you can by them by the box if you like and if they're in stock.

If I am not mistaken,
The Diamond crowns, with the green band, are the new Diamond Crown Sun Growns.
Just reading about them. If they are as good as the other Diamond crowns, they are going to be one of the best cigars, in the world.

Fuente has "rules" about some of their special cigars. The dealer is supposed to limit them to two per customer per visit. However, this rule is bent by most.

Sounds like the Diamond Crown Maximus. They were just released at the RTDA show in Nashville.

I've been looking for one to try, but will now have to wait until after the surgery. Bummer!

Homebrew, the robusto I had is the only cigar I ever paid ten bucks for that I didn't think was overpriced. You might be right about it being the best cigar in the world.

Man,
I sure wish there were a cigar shop near me.
That bites.
I am going to Portland tomorrow and hope to hit a cigar shop while I'm there.
100 miles for a cigar, I must be nuts. :)
If I'm real lucky, they will have the Opus, so I can try one and I'm hoping to see some good variety.
Well, I can dream can't I? Ha ha.
