Went down to the park today to enjoy one of these babies, which is one of the CAOs I haven't heard a lot said about.
Unfortunately, this one had been sitting in the dashboard of my car in the summer, and I was afraid it was going to be a dud.
It hadn't suffered too much, I ended up with a really uneven burn at one point, with the ugliest ash I'd ever seen, that came out to a spindly point a full inch out from the unburned portion of my cigar.
But I persisted, applying a little fire here and there, and eventually evened it out, and enjoyed it immensely.
It had a very nice, toasty taste, about a medium to full in bodied, and the wrapper was a beautiful, silky chocolate color.
There's nothing more relaxing than sitting on a park bench in the shade, with a beautiful blue sky, fluffy clouds, and green grass and trees around.
I also found out that insects don't have fine taste in cigars. Anytime some gnats or bees would float over my way, I'd blow a cloud at them and send them running, lol. It reminded me of reading about how Che Guevara used his cigar smoke to ward off the mosquitoes that always pestered him in the swamps of Cuba.
Today was a good day.
