Does anyone have anything that they have in the humidor that they would love to smoke but just can't bring themselves to do it? And how long have you had it?

Several, including a couple of Anejos from last Christmas season that I won't smoke until I get replacements (I hope) this year.

I've got a PSD 3 EL, a RyJ robusto EL and a Padron 1926 that I keep telling myself that I will be smoking for special occasions, but no occasion is ever that special. The two EL's have been in the box since January and the 1926 has been there since March.

What if you die today on the way home from work? (God forbid!) Not trying to be morbid, but no one knows the number of their days... Take time occasionally to enjoy "the good stuff". That's what I say. Not that we should all smoke Opus, ISOMs, and PAMs every night!! But every week or two I definitely break in to "the good stuff" because, you never know...

Partagas SD 4, and a couple of Montecristo #4, and my last Monte #2. Looking for that next big event to smoke these babies. They've been sitting for about 8 months, so far, with nothing to do but rest. I do get them out every once in a while, just to savor the aroma.
Also have a Buc Classic Maduro Robusto that's banded from Costa Rica (not Nicaragua) that I've been sitting on for almost a year now. The first Buc's I smoked had Coast Rica bands on them, thought I should save at least one of them.

LOL @ mrtelcom ... you know, you just gave me a great idea. I think on that trip to the Mexican Carribean ... they just might be coming along with me!

I'm going to hook up with a CF'er that is in Playa Del Carmen (he's a English teacher from the US who has been assigned there) ... and I'll bet he might like to share ... ;^), and I'll be taking along a Hemi Signaure Maduro, and several Classic Maduro as well!

Hey, gorob23 ... you've piqued my interest there ... can you explain that FFFOX from ISOM? I'm not exactly sure what that is ...

Be careful taking those nice sticks out of the country. When I went to Canada in July, The airport nazis (US terrorist police) snared me and drug me off for searching. There were four of them just plowing through all of my stuff. As they were pulling my sticks out and playing/sniffing the UTS Maduro one said, wow,you must like cigars, are these good ones?
I said that those were some very rare cigars "including the one you are running your paws all over".

I almost missed my flight.

No cigar should be saved without trying. If you have more than one and smoke it, and save one or several, ok. But for God's sake, don't just sit there staring at it! SMOKE IT!!

What Robby said, both times. I smoke the super premiums on a fairly regular basis. Opus X, VSG, PAMs, whatever. Probably part of that is I'm lucky and can lay my hands on these cigars often enough (at the correct prices) that I never seem to be out of them. But I wholeheartedly agree with the "life's too short to save 'em all" philosophy. An Opus X, a glass of wine or a dark beer, a star-lit night on the deck with my wife ... I'm good to go.

Montecristo Platinum. But I finally did smoke it. Very good cigar. Only had one, but it was good. Any ISOM's I strictly ration to myself and extend them out as long as I can because I don't know when I'm going to get others.

After I listened to the list of deceased at the celebratory dinner for the 40th anniversary of my high school graduation, I vowed to never save another cigar for a special occasion. Make every day a special occasion.

Ok, y'all have convinced me to break into my "I will smoke these all on my deathbed" cigars.... but which to try first? Many I haven't tried yet, and I only have one of most of them...(I know, I violated the "Always buy at least 2" rule.. but I'm cheap...

(not that I have much of anything...)
