Hello,
I just received a five-pack of Puros Indios that I recently won
http://www.cigarbid.com/...n/lot.cfm?lotID=125375.
But the band on these are green with red trim instead of green with gold trim. Does anyone know the difference? Thanks,
Eddie

Don't know the difference in the colors but I have smoked one before and it was a good smoke. I've been impressed with the Indios line.

For the price you can get PI on c-bid, they have to be one of the most underrated gars out there. I've had more than a few of them. My own preference is the toro.

I have never seen a green/gold PI band, always red/green. The picture in the auction you pointed to was red/green.
PI has to be the best cigar with the worst band out there. I swear the band makes these things look like a cheap short-filler brand or something. Looks can be deceiving :)

That brings up an interesting question. What is the ugliest, most uninspired cigar band. I have to go with the Diesel cigar band. The band depicts drops of diesel fuel dripping from the name, now that's appealing. Not!

fighting ****.... Gross on so many levels. The rooster on the band led me to believe that I was smoking chicken parts or something. That would have tasted better than that dog rocket. Bleeech!

I have to agree that Diesel might be the worst name ever for a cigar. Mmmmmm, gasoline... The bands are awful, too.
Heh, "Dog Rocket" might be a funny name for a brand and would make for a great band.

One of the few things I remember from marketing, is that it's not important whether they like your ad, but if they remember your ad. Sometimes the easiest way to recognition is to be instantly despised. Quick to spot a Puros in a line-up, no?

Oh, and to stay on topic... The band differences I've noticed have been very distinctive (ala Viejo, and Maxima Reserva). Perhaps the maduros have a slightly different band? I'll have to go check.

Green with red trim is supposed to be the earlier line of PI. Those should be some well aged smokes.

The cool/weird thing is they CBID in my last 'winnings.' I've received lots of PIs from CBID but this was a first, inexpensive and well-aged!!!

Correction: I meant to say they were from my latest winning bids on CBID.
