All I can find for a while is the cohiba red dot. I am down to my last 3 non-red dot. I have been smoking them VERY scarcly over the past few years. can someone tell me if the red dot cohiba is worth the money.

I like them. Worth the money? That is hard to say. I like them so they are worth the money to me, but I still only induldge myself these rarely. I have never had one that wasn't very, very well constructed. The word consistency comes to mind in both construction and taste. I like them even more at CBid prices which are about half my local shop.

The non-red dots are (I assume) ISOMs, and are fuller flavored than red dots, so you might want give the Extra Veijo red dots a try. They might be a bit closer in taste.

I think crbhoss is talking about the illegitimate Cohibas.

They're a non-Cuban made Cohiba that has a band that looks similar to the Cuban band (black-and-white grid, yellow bottom half). I myself have never had one of these, but godfather has before.

I have ordered 1 box from atlantic of the yellow bands and a sample box from cigar corrner. The Cigar corner bands have Dominican Republic under the Cohiba name. ann\d the others do n't have anything just the yellow band. The Atlantic smokes are long leaf but lack flavor and by no means are a Red dot in quality. The Cornercigars samples taste a bit better. I feel you get what you pay for and they are inexpensive..I'm just happy I wasn't paying 700 budks for the same cigar through a offshore site......Mike

There is only 1 True Cohiba... and then you got the Dominican's (sp) the Non Cuban Red Dot Cohiba is a select above the yellow banded Cohiba's I have quite a few of the Yellow banded, "No not up for trade" but you can find them a dime a dozen on allot of shelves at local shops all over...

one more thing it's not nice to post competing sites here on Cbid... hope slim don't see your post...
