Pentz I'm going to be in Boston early October. Maybe you could post here some of the good points of your visit so I know what to look forward to. Or your bad points so I know what to avoid.

I might be going up that weekend to visit a friend. I'll check w/ my buddy and let you know.

Either way there are a ton of good places to visit that are cigar friendly, my favorite is either the Purple Shamrock or The Harp.

Both great places... reminds me of college. What is the 505 reference? NM?

penzt, I work in Burlington and live on the south shore. What conference will you be going to? Which hotel are you staying at? With a baby at home as well as a couple of remodelling projects going on I won't be able to do any whirlwind tours of Boston, but we could possibly meet up for lunch or a drink and cigar after work. I'd also be happy to help you out with recomendations for food, shopping, etc in the area.

Lenny, I'm staying at the Marriott in Burlington, just down the road from the Burlington Mall. I'm attending an Air Force hosted conference at the same hotel. I doubt I'll spend much time in Boston myself because I hate dealing with the traffic. I come up that way a couple time a year so I'm familiar with the Burlington/Bedford area.

If you have the time to get together for dinner or drinks and a cigar, that would be cool. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't permit cigars in their lounge so I usually end up sitting outside on a bench. As long as the weather is nice it doesn't really bother me.

A true BOTL here Bostonians. Show him your city, feed him, liquor him up, give him your daughters!

Well, maybe the daughters is a tad bit extreme, but this is a fine guy to hang out with. Who knows...maybe the carrot girls will visit you!

Have fun up there!

I went to a seminar there. Went to a restaurant where they sit everyone down at whatever table. The tables were like 25' long. Some of the best seafood ever. They just dump it out on the tables. Now strong rumor has it that cold beer, not warm and not hot, but cold beer goes real good with that! At least you're up there in decent weather! I was there in January '99. Wait a minute...ugh...my left nut is just now unfrozen.

Don't let this guy smoke alone!
