Sketcha, any good smoke shops in S.C.? We have a couple in Carmel, but after the boom, price are high and quality can sometimes be low...I think I paid $15.00 for an Ashton Cabinet #3, then went and order a box for $150.00 ($7.50 ea.) And at another shop I paid $11.00 for a Cuesta Rey, Pyramid #9, and then ordered a box for $42.00($4.00 ea). So sometimes I will pay big bucks to try one, then if I enjoy it, will order a box elsewere......

Unless the Jass Festival is going on, or AT&T Pro Am, then it's likly $200.00 per night, if you can even find anything vacant......

Casa Munrus in Monterey in the off season baby! Last March I paid around $75.00 a night on a weekend. Spend a lot of spontaneous weekends on the Monterey Coast. Got to figure out how to retire there.

LOVE Point Lobos, one of my favorite spots. Been going since I was a kid.

Beat, one of these days we are going to have to throw a helf on the beach right before Point Lobos, I believe it's Monastery Beach....Boy, been living here for 25 years and don't remember the name. Also I'm about 10 block from Carmel Beach down Ocean ave, and haven't been down there for a while. I guess we don't know what we have until are away from it for awhile.......Plus, you can smoke at my American Legion in Carmel.....They (Smoke Police) can't enforce the smoking laws there. Even have LIVE music every other Friday, which is against the law down here.........

sketcha, I didn't know you were in Santa Cruz !! ... I was down there this past weekend when MrsS and I took our youngest son out to dinner for his birthday ...

BOTL in CA ?? ... well, the answer to THAT question can be found on 10/5 at the big SF/EB herf ... my prediction: there'll be more than 100 BOTL there ...

Oh, BTW ... a post or two above this, someone identified eleltea as being from CA, but he's not ... but there's a LOT of other CA guys in addition to the others who were mentioned above ...

Central valley...near Fresno. From the Bay Area originally.

Our visits to the Monterey Bay / Santa Cruz area are done in the RV. Save a lot of $$ that way. Better than a timeshare.

I guess I didn't pay attention for awhile. Glad someone topped it.

SP,

We've got a few decent shops. Prices are pretty rough here too, though. If you want names, you can email me.

Alright, Beat, then I'll see ya' down there soon?

Gauntlet thrown.

Paradise Beach Grille is a very nice little place. It's the gem of the village. If you like fillet, ours is one of the best anywhere. It's a big hunk a' meat to swallow. That should sound intriguing to any drummer.

Also, after dinner when the deck clears it's USUALLY cool to light one up. Figure somewhere between 10:00 and 11:30.

The thriving metropolis of Oakdale.

I try to get over to Point Lobos as well. The view from under the water is just as beautiful as it is topside.
