Currently a little less than 100. But that number will more than double today or Monday, when my next C-bid shipment arrives. (I won 14 lots last week!) Drool, drool...

Last count was over 650 but I have traded and bought since then. Best guess would be about 750. Man! I've been spending way too much time and money on Cigarbid.com. :)

I believe posts like this have been here before along with how many do you smoke per day/week. To run with the big dogs I think you have to have a minimum of 1000 on hand and smoke a minimum of 30 per week.

I have somewhere between 1000 and 1300. Never really thought about counting them. I just know that I have 3 full humidors and 2 coolerdors. I still consider myself to be puppy.

About 500. I'm a meager, 4-week man so that's about 2 years' reserve.

True ... the subject has been raised any number of times before ... I think, though, that while you'll probably find that 1000 on-hand is fairly accurate to define 'big dog' status, that smoking 30 or more a week is high ... previous surveys here have turned up only a very few whose consumption is that high ... since average is probably no more than 10-12 per week, a true 'big dog' might be what, maybe half again that many? ...

But, I dunno .... perhaps you're right and it's a new generation of 'big dogs' ... maybe I'm no longer a big dog, but just an old one ... it'll be interesting to see how this survey turns out

Too many of some, not enough of others. All in all, about 1300.

I've/we "big dogs" "veteran smokers" have ansewered this question several times before over the years.

But to help you out with the Mrs.. 32 years of cigars.
currently about 1500 on hand probably more. Always more comming.

Recently changed jobs. Kinda semi-retired. Now I have more time to smoke. Damm, life's tough.

I'm up from a box a week to about 35-40 a week. A lot depends on the size of the gar. Theres only so much time in a day. I start my first one up around 5:30 or 6:00 a.m., and have dozed off in my chair with one hanging out of my gob around 10:00 p.m.

Fuhgedaboudit and fire up.

godfather1453406 ,

You are indeed a man in need. Please send me an email with your address and I'll send a few sticks your way. No brother of the leaf should ever allow a fellow brother to fall to a meager 15 cigars. My email is rpope123 at bellsouth dot net. Send me your address so I can send you a super emergency package of smokes.

I have about 700 and am accumulating more. I smoke one per day, albeit a somewhat larger one which would mean two coronas. This is what you need to justify things to the wify:

1. The number you have on hand does not relate to how many you smoke per day, although it may increase the number that are given away. Don't mention the last part.
2. The internet will someday come under taxation and there will, probably, be special controls put on tobacco products because the states are trying to pass off high taxes as being good for you while at the same time profitting from your bad habits.

What this means is that by buying a lot now you are actually saving money in the future.

3. Keeping the humidor full stabilizes the humidity and protects the cigars.

This is all very logical and should convince anyone why it's important to have more on hand than are really needed.

4. This advice does not actually work in the real world with a real wife.

I have about 500 sticks, give or take 25 or so. I cleaned house recently. I must have sent 150 smokes to the troops.

I mostly have premiums, about 75 super premiums, and a few ISOM's(about 10), thats it!

1. "smoking 30 or more a week is high"

2. "since average is probably no more than 10-12 per week"

1. am i high?

2. in order to get a 10 - 12 average, someon has to make up for the two or three a week smokers. i have been chosen to raise the average. i just noticed RJDC's post and i see i have company. i guess that semi retired = more time for cigars

one of my doctors asked me how many cigars i smoked per day. on my next visit i showed him a monte #5 and a monte "A" and asked him what size he was refering to. when he asked how many. by how many. the #5 is 40 X 4 1/2 and the A is 48 x 9 1/2

Hmmm. I've been on a cbid diet for a while. Probably 100 or so on hand. I was up to 250 but I've had some vacation time and a few mini herfs cut into my stash.
Unfortunately most of my cigars are larger sizes that I don't have a lot of time to smoke. I burned out my short smoke supply.

Dang...I just got up between paragraphs and looked at the sorry state of my humidors. I can see the bottom of one.
