Quite a while ago I won a five-pack of Montesino maduro robustos on C-bid. Probably never see that price again. I tried one soon after and didn't much care for it. I think I traded or gave away two or three. Well, in one of those what-the-hell moments I lit up the last one tonight after maybe a year in the humi. Yep, you guessed it. Sweet and tasty, right down to the last 3/4 inch. A couple of things happened in a year: the cigar got better and/or my palate evolved some. Moral of the story: if you get some quality sticks and you don't know what all the fuss is about, don't give them away right away, put them away. What cigar did that to you lately?

LLT,Were you drunk the first time you tried these or the second time? LOL.
Actually for me, the Oliva Grand Maduro's didn't do anything for me OTT. Tons of smoke but relatively little flavor. I had won multiple 5packs based on the looks of these. Well after about a year in the humi,I fired up one of these and MAN what a difference a year makes. Lots of flavor and smoke. X
