you should check out thier website. There is lots of info on it and as an added bonus if they begin to carry thier line as a result of your efforts, they will give you a free box of gars. Just do a Google search for Bucanero.

add the word cigars and dot com to their name.

hope this isn't breaking any rules.

It's true though. I introduced one of my local shops and they now carry Bucaneros and I have a free box.

Great people.

There...that's the URL for the site

It shouldn't be breaking rules, because they don't sell directly from that website, so CI/CBid isn't threatened in any way.

Godfather was trying to get one of our local shops to carry Bucanero.

The lady who owns it said she'd smoke one...haven't heard yet what her response is.

Hopefully, Godfather can get a free box out of it (and share with me).

Great Cigar! Great Program! I just ordered my free box. It was hard picking which one I wanted
I really like the Clasico Maduro
I have a good supply of "Full Sail"
I like the new wraper on the "Lone Star"
I have a "El Captain Maduro" "Z", "Windjammer" & "Crew" in the humidor and have not tried them yet.
My choice was Maduro Clasico Belicoso

I contacted Bucanero earlier in the summer through email about the ambassador program, they responded by asking me to call them, I called, we discussed a couple of shops in my area. Neither carried the Bucs, so they said that they'd send me some info on the program within a couple of days, still haven't received that. Contacted them through email again a couple of weeks later, and never got a response on that email. Very dissappointing.

"Gardner" don't feel bad I contacted them also about putting thier Cigars in my store. the answered my E-Mail the next day requesting I send my phone number so they could call me and set things up that was almost 2 months ago. Now I know the RTDA was going on during this time but it seems to me that a company that wants to get thier product out into the market should at least take the time to answer thier mail and say please call us or it is going to be a month before we can contact you or some thing.. Heck thier 1st E-Mail was so incouraging I went ahead and started a page on mt web for them and now it stands empty..So the moral of the store is only the hungry will repond the others are to fat (Or getting to fat) to respond..TinMan

Guys, don't give up. I was just like you. I sent an email, but had no reply. I waited a week or two and send another. Still no reply. I waited one more week and then sent another email. The responded and did send me the info. I took it to a shop, the shop was interested and then I gave Buc the shop phone number and such. The rest is history. I think when they say small company, the really do mean small. Don't give up on them.

They are a small company and they're scattered to the 4 corners of the US right now. This leaves them with virtually no contact via email. Call the office, leave your number and let them know what this in reference to. They've always gotten back to me. The lady(I can't remember her name)is VERY knowledgable with their product and even steered me to one of their offerings called The Catalina. Its a slimmer gauge cigar, and she recommended it to me for a lady owner that I was trying to win over...Wish I wasn't so honest...I should've tried it! It looks like a Classico only slimmer and smaller.

They are pretty busy. The company is run by a couple of brothers who are doing most of the work themselves. I talked to Johnny a couple of weeks ago about getting their smokes in a couple of stores out by me. He's an extremely nice guy and interesting to talk to.

If they don't respond within a week just drop him another email, I doubt that they will mind.

I had a different experience. Everything was done in less than two weeks. This company is GREAT to deal with IMHO.

Day 1: I e-mailed them and gave them info on the retailer I was trying to land.
Day 2: The CEO called me the next day
Day 5: Received info from them in 3 days
Day 8: I talked to my retailer and gave a them some Bucs from my collection to try
Day 9: My retailer called Bucanero the next day
Day 12: The next day I received an e-mail confirming the retailer is now a "Bucanero Account"
Day 13: I ordered my free box for my efforts

Note: It is my understanding the "normal" procedure is slightly different with this program. (1) They call/e-mail you to talk about the retailer you have in mind. This to make sure there is a good fit, there is no other Buc retailer around, get contact name and number, etc.
(2)They are the ones that makes contact with the retailer and talks to them and sends them some samples if necessary.

I would say be patient with them, they are a small company that can’t and doesn’t want to be in every retailer. I am sure they are getting flood with opportunities. Both from legitimate Buc fans that want to spread the word and ones from “cigar mooches” that are looking for freebees they have to weed out.

Penguin13 I don't think thats the way it works but hey worth a try aint it. LMAO.. I the E-mail I did recieve from Robert way back when I first contacted them he said he was going to send some samples to me.. With having tried the "Z" and the Full Sail last week which I recieved in a trade there is really NO need for the samples just get me set up so I can start ordering. LMAO.. I thought the 2 I had were great. the draw was alittle tight on the Full Sail but the flavor was well worth the work to get it out..TinMan

Email might be a little slow from them lately due to the blaster virus. I think they took a hit!
