Has anyone tried the new La Aurora Preferido Maduro Sun Grown?

I'm a big fan of 'sun-grown' wrappers (especially the Brazilian Maduro Sun Grown Wrapper!) ... and am interested in hearing from anyone who has smoked these ... and what you thought of them.

Slim... Won a 5 pack a while back and have them resting in the humidor. Have thought about trying one but everytime I reach for one it just doesn't seem a special enough occasion for the cigar. But the time is getting close to breakdown and smoke at least one of them. Will let you know.

I've had a couple in the #1 size, and enjoy them. I'm not much with tasting notes, but will say they are mild to medium in body, but with nice flavor. The maduro wrapper
gives a bit of a different taste in comparison with the cameroon (which I like as well). They are not like a CAO brazilia. Having said all this, I would definately not pay full price for these. These, of course, are just my opinions. Your mileage may vary.

OH MY GAWD ... martini ... IS THAT WHAT IT WAS?!?

I wish I would have known, and I would have paid more attention to it than I did ... but yes, it was a fantastic cigar, and I really enjoyed it. I thought it tasted unusually better than the regular line, for some reason, and now I know why.

Heck ... had I known it was the 'sun-grown' ... I would have saved it for a special occasion ... LOL ... and probably would have ended up sitting on it for a few years!

I hear ya Slim!! Man, that martini must think pretty good of you! That is true generosity!! I am looking forward to trying one of those babies! The Cameroon #1 is my all-time favorite.
