I am Placing this thread in here mainly to help me work out what if anything I am going to do next..

There have been times when People have placed Threads in here about Leaving the Forum (Myself Included) and then after many discussions with the BOTL in here some of us have stopped and re-thought the statement about leaving and I think that many times (My thread) after thinking it over and talking with the Other fine people in here we see that we have made a mistake. Now I know that there are those in here that could care less as evidence of their Posts ie " If they want to go let them go" and statements to that effect. So be it they have that right to make such a statement and to feeel that way but I know that there are many of us that don't. Many times those statements about leaving as it has been pointed out mnay other times were made as an "Over Reaction"...
I know that there are many people that just come in here at times to check things out and in some cases to (Snoop) .. I know this for a fact...The bad thing about those that do this they have NO idea whats going on in here nor do they seem to think or know that at times we all that do come here to meet as a Family also have other things going on and may be doing other things while we are talking in here ...These (Snoopers) Don't know us but yet if they see a post that for some reason offends them then THEY Over Re-act with out know any thing more than what they see in front of them...
This has caused me ALOT of trouble in the last 2 days.
I made a Typo in one thread. a (Snooper) happen to come in and seen it then made a call to a manufacture about what he had seen.(Instead of contacting me and asking about it)I got a call at about 9 pm from the manufacture asking about a certin Thread and what was in it..Well at the time I had NO idea what he was talking about and told him I sure would do what I could to help him find out about it. I got out of bed (Ihad been up since 4:30 am that day) and sat down at the key boeard and started looking for this thread. After 2 hours searching and not finding anything I gave up and went back to bed. Then this morning after getting some work done and taking a break and surfing threw some of the Post I came across the Posting thate the Manufacture had been talking about. As I sat and read the Post I also was remembering that day and what had gone on. Then I came to it the Root of this whole problem A Type "O" and I could rememeber just what was going on aT THE INstant that type "O" was made. Because it was a asnswer that I had made to a BOTL about some thing he was asking for.. Yes It Was Me That Made this horrible Life stopping Mistake. Go Figure Me making a mistake while typing. Not like you all don't sit a LYAO when reading some of my Post with all the spelling mistakes and Extremely poor grammer in them most of the time. *S* SO on the Spot I corrected the error I made and had that BOTL contacted me I would have to explain the mistake and would of in good conscience stood by the mistake even though it would have cost me.. BUT because a (Snoop) seen that Posting and Made a call about this terrible mistake Not only do I feel extremely bad about about making it but I also stand very close to losing a very important account to me..I guess the bad thing about the Forum area is that so many people can come in here and not really know EVERY THING that is going on not only in here but in each of our Lives and read some thing and then pitch a tissy Fit over it.. And the WOREST of it is that the Only person it would have hurt was me if tghis (Snoop) had not seen the post and the person I was talking to had followed throught with the offer I had made. BYT the offer was made to him because of his standings in here and because of all the good trades he does and because I felt that in the long run it might help me out also...But instead it has back fired.. Now being a retired Police Officer of nearly 30 years I stop and ask myself How did this Manufacture come to call me about this Posting.???? I don't sign anything in here with my name and phone number.. The only plac that could come from is the Account Information to sign up for C-Bid. Then I ask my self who else in here of the BOTL have all this info.. Name Address , Phone Number, Only a Eextremely small number would have my Phone number and know that it was in fact mine and know who I am by Name. And those people I really believe would have contacted me personally about this Post, and the mistake in it...So Once again I have learned another leason we are not allowed to make mistakes because if we do and the wrong person see's it then it could cost us Dearly....
Being an Honest person I will call then Manufacture back Monday (I already tried today) and I will stand up to my Mistake like a man and I will expect to at the least have some changes handed to me and at the Worest Loss that account..
MY only whish is that when people read things in here and have a question about what they are reading For Goodness Sake ASK.. DOn't jump to a conclusion that can end up not only Making someone Say I'm sorry to the whole World but lose business also.....To Be Countinued at anothe time. Someone trying to hack me. Tin.

i don't know what a BOTL is. i really can't get a handle on what you are talking about and i doubt that it is paranioa.

as i understand it, someone got your name and phone number and reported something you said to someone you do business with and the result was some problem between you and the person you do business with. is that the gist of your post?

that anyone conected with cbid would give any personal information about you is inconceivable. even if you doubt their integrity, why would they do it anyway, and why would they put their buisiness in a position of being sued. personally i accept their integrity.

What happened to you is just an accident. I wish I could do something to help. You've always come across as a stand-up kind of guy. And that's just what you did. You stood up and admitted you made a mistake. There should be some redemption for that.

I only know you through these threads, but I have seen enough of your posts to know that you are a good person, and a true, BOTL. I am a little offended, at giving the title BOTL, to anyone who would not have contacted you directly to ask about your typo. If you need anything, let me know. homebrew at arkansas dot net . Hey thanks Guys I'm back some Poop head trying to hack my system. Not to bad either while I was typing I got a warning that I was being shut down a rerouted and signed on from another terminal.. But I got it stopped That jerk won't be hurt'n any one son. LOL.. Any way I don't want any one to take this post the wrong way. Things IMHO happened one of two ways. either someone who calls themselves a BOTL made a call or infact the (snooper) started it all offf and the information came from another source and I only know of one. And after what I was told in the phone call I hate to say it but it looks kinda fishy for those who collect all the personal info and store it.. But I don't and won't for sure point fingers until Monday when I get done talking to the man, hopefully he will be honest enough to tell me how he came to call me over this whole mess..SO until then Ohhhh Wellllll not much anyone can do but at least I feel better and think I'll make it through the weekend. LMAO...TinMan (think I should Change the NN I'm getting kinda Rusty I think. LMAO

I want to thank every One for their support..Just a Up-Date: I did make the phone call to the company this morning and I did talk to One of the Owners that I always talk to and explained what had happened and this matter had gotten Blown way out of shape. I do Now know who was involved and I know that C-Bid was not involved which is very refreshing to know that SOME People do in fact know what Privacy is..I am not going to say who it was to show him that I am A bigger man than he is and that I want this matter laid to rest. There is NO need to cause a riff in this forum that may ruin what we have in here as BOTL and SOTL..All I will say to this person is that we all should STOP and think before we JUMP to a conclusion and ask questions because if we don't it could cause damage to some one that very well may not be justified, and as my Mother use to say until the day she passed away Once you say something to or about some one that may or may NOT be true you can't take it back it has already been said.. Some of us in here are not as refined nor as perfect as some others seem to see themselves. But those people who think they are perfect need to remember They belong to a extremely small group which in here seems to be getting smaller all the time..It is a real shame that some people seem to think they are better than others but I guess thats the imperfect world we live in and I for One accept that so as I said My Mouth is shut and this is a dead issue in my Eyes...TinMan (Always trying to be respectful and live up to the honorable Gift of being considered a BOTL)

Sorry Guys I can't do that..I was suppose to recieve goodies from the company today but they didn't come so Not really sure if I was just being blown off on the phone today or not I'll see if stuff doesn't come tomorrow. No matter how mad it makes me or what happens from here on out if I have to remove pages from my site. I can't give out or Hint about who it was,I just hope they are indowed with a conscience and that it eats at them and they have a few days like I did this week end..Trade'n and buyibg Cigars in here is one thing but when you do it outside of here you find that it is a very nasty business...Thats to bad to really and it's to bad that people buy into it..Tin

Tinman , I do not know what happened nor do I care to find out, but I ask all those perfect people if you have ever bought a pencil. If so, why do you think man makes a pencil with an eraser? That's right my friend people know they make mistakes. It does say quite a bit about a persons character when they can own up to something and take their medicine. I can truly say that if I were paid for my mistakes, I would truly be a rich man.
