Needed to throw out a new post havent seen one in a couple of days, so here we go. What is the most money you have ever spent on one cigar and what was the brand and would you spend that kind of $$ for the same one again? Pesonally I have never spent more than $15 for a single cigar, but living in South Florida I have been able to get some true cuban Cohibas that were given to me but I know I would have probably paid a hefty price for those gems.

$46.53 for a Cuban Montecristo 'A' that I sent to a very good friend as a gift ... I wanted to make sure that it was not a counterfiet, so I bought it from a very reputable tobacconist in London, one that has been in business for over 200 years. The funny thing is ... I haven't had the pleasure of smoking one yet, but was told by the recipient that it was very good!

Whoops, can't remember exact price, but it was over $25 for a AVO Lonsdale at Del Fresco's Steak House in Denver. Bought 4 of them for the group I was entertaining. I had brought some cigars in a case but only had two. So needed 4 more-robbery time! Charlie

And the winner is.... Here's your all-time champion in this category (unless any of you guys go to those fancy auctions and buy 100-year-old vintage cigars): A friend of mine here locally had always spoken about a particular Cuban, supposedly the rarest and finest cigar of all time, that he'd buy if he ever found one. Well, a few months ago he did, and yes, he bought it -- an aged (I think early 80's, maybe much earlier) Davidoff Dom Perignon -- for $250!!! I asked him what occasion could possibly be fine enough to put fire to it, and he said, "...the day I'm hired to replace Hugh Hefner."
