I bid on and won a bundle that I intended to give as a gift to a friend on his birthday this past Tuesday night. I am set up to ship Priority Mail on Fridays. By doing this I get my orders on Monday. When I checked my status it said shipped on 5-18. That is a lie. I do not know if they assume I am too stupid to look at the postmark and figure this is a lie or what. It plainly says that it shipped on 5-21 on the postmark. This screwed me up. I do not appreciate being lied to. Had this not been a time sensitive issue I would not be quite as pissed off as I am. I think I am a valued customer but judged by this I have to wonder. I will have to think about continueing to do business with CB. At the time of my writing this I doubt it. I can promise you I do not treat my clients this way. They are far too important to me. CB may feel like like, no big deal, if that is the case it just reinforces my feeling. Do not urinate down my back and tell me it is raining.

Have you approached the powers that be at CB? Or did you just need to vent?

I did e-mail them yesterday. The fact is I don't really need a lame excuse. An e-mail this past Monday simply telling me that they screwed up and in fact had just shipped it out that day would have been a courtesy that would not have made me happy but it would have at least given me notice. If it had not been a gift for a friend last night it would not have been as significant. It would still leave a bad taste in my mouth about the fact that it said in my status that it shipped 5-18. This bid was won actually on around the 14th. I can assure you that any of the people at CB in a situation such as mine would be equally POed or more so if they were honest about it. All I ask is to be treated as they would want to be. I can assure you they would be a little put off if some how payment were delayed for a few days with no word from me.

As a business owner, I know feces occurs and mistakes do happen. Just give them a chance to make the situation better (it will never be right) before you
raise your BP anymore.

KM: i sympathize with the error made by cbid. error.
you can't think they are insensitive to their customers or they would be long gone. the problem could have been at amazon or sears or anyplace. when you are under a time constraint, is not the only time errors happen. as you said if i didn't need it right away etc, you would not have noticed. now that you have vented, rightly so, deep breath, let blood pressure come down, don't let this seethe. it's over.
next time this happens, and it will again, unless you are pushing 90, try not to let your body and mind be so afected. RICKAMAVEN, AP.

This won't happen again to me with CB. That would be shame on me. It's been real.

KM. If this is a one time thing, I think you're jumping the gun. CB has always handled my shipments promptly. With the number of packages going out every day, mistakes are bound to happen from time to time. To err is human, to forgive divine. I'm positive it was nothing malicious.

let him go, he's a bit hypersensitive anyway, and less competition for the rest of us on bidding. You know since you needed it for your friend's birthday, you could have taken more of an initiative to insure you got it in time, instead of waiting till your usual Friday shipment, you should have asked to have it shipped the day after the auction, I feel this isn't all CB that let your friend down, you should have taken more responsibility. So they gave you the wrong shipping date, if you wouldn't have waited until the last minute, it wouldn't have been a problem at all.

KM ... life's too short to let things like this piss you off. You have got to expect this every now and then ... so just deal with it. If I let all the situations that didn't go the way I wanted them to get to me, I would be one unhappy individual ... be mature about this, and just cope with it. Remember, you are dealing with human beings, and as a species, we are not perfect ...

Wow, talk about short fuse! KM must have a blood pressure reading that is out of site. People make mistakes and the big thing is what do they do to correct them when given a chance. Sounds like he doesnt want to give CB even one little bit of ground. Hey Gonz, send him a box of seconds or something. Charlie

Maybe CB made a mistake, but I would never use nor rely upon our USPS to deliver time sensitive material. That's not a knock on them, that's just the way it is.

Uh, the same thing happened to me. Am waiting for some smokes that were supposed to have been sent out on Friday. The problem, for me, is not the missing cigars but the lack of good customer service. I have emailed twice with no response. Not to worry my blood pressure is low and am not really seething about it just surprised. I have heard many rave about CBid customer service making it right and I myself have had nothing but stellar service for nearly a year.

KM- If this minor flaw has your nuts in a roar I will hate to see you react someday to a real crisis. I guess a little more maturity on your part and like most responses here will help you during your grief stricken time. Remember, stress kills! If you hate CB then leave like aberdeen suggested.

KM, I think "lie" is way out of line. I'm sure the person who emailed you the confirmation truly believed it shipped on the 18th. I'd even bet that the order was processed and ready to ship. With as many boxes as cbid ships in a day, it's entirely possible for the USPS guy to miss one on the pick-up. The 18th was a friday and if their building doesn't have saturday pick-up, you package shipped out the next possible day. Lighten up dude.
