Question: if it is a Red Sox and Cubs World Series (how sweet would that be?), then would they both lose? I just can't see the baseball gods letting one of these cities win...so the impossible 'both lose' scenario seems on our horizon.

Or they'll both have their hearts broken beforehand.

Great baseball weekend. One of the best I can ever remember.

I can ... probably will, too ... and whichever team wins today, I'll be rooting for them to beat the Yankees and then hope it's the Cubs they face in The Series ... man, can you even IMAGINE a Cubs/Sox series??? ... with THAT matchup, SOMEone's curse would be over, but fans of the other team would be at an all-time low ... you can almost hear their cries now ... ("I mean, how cursed do you have to be to lose to a team as cursed as THEY are???")

The Florida Marlins will take it all just like Tampa Bay took the Super Bowl, this is Floridas' year. JonR

Being the homer that I am, I obviously bleed Red (sox).
But fans everywhere should be rooting for a sox cubbies series.
MLB would never be richer and a whole new generation of fans would become addicted.

But we've gotta beat those pesky A's before we can talk about this...

What a game! One of the best baseball games I have seen in the past few years. Everything from great pitching and bating to a collision! WOW!! GO RED SOX!!

Next Stop... Brooklyn!!
