Good News...My buddy has tickets for Saturday and he invited me.

Bad News...We are having my son's 3rd birthday party at the house.

I think he's too young to be scarred by Dad missing his birthday party, but Dad's not too young to get scarred by Mom's butcher knife when she's stuck there with my family.

Basically this will be Cubs Team 1 Playing Cubs Team 2 LMAO!!!! Atlanta has allot of Prior Cubbies playing for them LoL.... It will be Intersting...
I'm only 39, so I only know the Cubs haven't been their for the past 39 yrs anyways... lost allot of bets on them boy's but never gave up hope.. hell me and another guy I grew up with used to get into fist fights over a cubs and cards game LoL... he's the one who always took my Paper Route money growing up LOL!!!

and Grace Retiring!!! he will be missed!!!!

BTW All I've always been a Cowboys Fan also!!!!

I mentioned on here about that buddy and I fist fighting over the games while we were growing up... well he lives in Cali somewheres... I Need a Huge Favor from you cali guys/gals..... I know his name but don't know his phone number... and we are best friends.... I'd like to locate him with some help from ya'll and razz him about the Cubs getting this far... and also see how he and his Family are doing... we ain't talked in probably 15-16 yrs!!!! last I knew he was living in Cali after his Officers Stent in the Navy on Submarines... Would Appriciate and help!!!

Johnnie B. Baker, my favorite player as a boy. Hated it more than I can say when he joined up with the Giants. Glad to see him in a uniform I can root for.

My wife is from Chicago...Hyde Park. It ain't the White Sox, but she'll take it!

It was just painful to watch. Cubs up 4-0 in the first and we blow it, we friggin blow it. It was a hell of a game and the crowd was unbelievable, but we still friggin blew it.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The only other good thing to come out of it was that I smoked a PAM on the way to the game and a Bolivar ISOM in the bar after the game. Too bad it wasn't a celebration smoke.

Man, there was some despair in my house last night. (Wife from Chicago). Great game, insanely exciting...Sosa finally makes his statement.

More games like this to come, I hope, whatever the outcome (though a Cubs win would be nice).

My buddy and I were sitting in the bar after the game do despondent. About every 5 minutes we would just look at each other and say 'F&*k'. That was about the extent of our post game comments......LOL

Yeah, it was like that here.

Nothing, though, compared to my sister's phone call to me after the A's loss...she's been die-hard for that team for years. Serious despondency in her voice.

The unfortunate thing is that we need Prior and Wood to win every game they pitch. That's our only chance. I doubt that Zambrano or Clement are going to win one.

On the bright side, Arizona did the same thing a couple of years ago with Johnson and Shilling.

If either of those guys do win one then we're going all the way.
