If you read this information just pick what you want to believe and not to believe. I am sure there will be many major points that you will believe or not believe. It's a free country, right?http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/MENA/mena.html

Being an Arkansas Native,
I remember the Mena debacle. I also remember Bush supporters, during the Bush Clinton election, touting the Mena operation as one of the reasons that we didn't need to elect Clinton. Kind of funny, that they forgot that Bush, along with the CIA, impoted tons of Cocaine into the US, through Mena, while at the same time, declaring a war on crack cocaine, probably to help drive up the price, so they could buy more guns for the contra rebels.

P.S. Couldn't let this thread slip into oblivion, without comment. Though alot of Bush Supporters, both supporters of daddy Bush, and the shrub, would like to see it buried.

Yeah DMV,
I know the **** spatters, on both sides of the fence, Both Bushs and Clinton, are both guilty of alot of stuff. That's why I moved to the Libertarian Party. I used to vote a straight Republican ticket, until people I knew, were fucked by Starr, on his Clinton Witch hunt. Alot of good people got drug down, along with some of the trash that needed to be taken out.

P.S. Starr helped to swell the membership, in the Libertarian party, at least here in Arkansas. The Shrub seems to be continuing the hard work of recruitment, for the Libertarian Party.

I remember during that time period the price of cocaine dropped from $100 a gram to, $125 for 1/8 ounce. Not that I was doing it but I had a bunch of high friends in low places. I decided to find new friends. J

Hey John,
I remember that too.
It was hard too keep the cravings at bay, during that part of my recovery. I have been a recovering cocaine addict, since Mar. 15th 1984. I changed my friends, location, and career. And still it is one day at a time.

Does anybody remember the (Reagan years) funding being cut to the contras and the president claiming that support would continue through, "Private funding".

The truth is out there somewhere.

Dave, good job on that difficult road. I've got better things to do than chase a bubble.

J

Dave AKA Homebrew, well done on the recovery. It sounds like you took the right steps. I tell you that I would like to see them all held to a higher standard. It never ceases to amaze me though how just because someone voted for a politician they believe they cannot do wrong. And, conversely, the other politician they did not vote for cannot do anything right. I have been watching these Libertarians and I can see where they would appeal to many Americans. I swear it's worse than finding a church that has the right fit, trying to find a political party that one does not have serious conflicts with.

The thing that kills me is, I believe there are some in this country that would love nothing better than to have a One Party system. Think about that one. Oh yeah, they are bigtime Americans that have bigtime patriotism, yet...
