There you go again, you Godless freak!
Spewing and mewling your damn liberal agenda!
For crying out loud, Professor, can't you just answer the question without turning the post into some self pitying platform to save the bleeding hearts who don't want to work, and....

Oops. Sorry.
Force of habit...

Sorry to disappoint, Tailgater...here is the detail:

Yeah, I went with my brainwashed-to-communism students to oppose the baby-killer minions of the capitalist fatcats, burned an American flag while FRENCH kissing Osama bin Laden, whose girlfriend had just had an abortion funded by the U.S. government, played three race-card monte with some al-Qaeda boys, and, finally, I arranged for Arkansas state troopers, when they weren't murdering Clinton's enemies, to take young ladies from Bahrain to the Lincoln bedroom, where, between blowjobs, they made the bed slept in by Barbra Streisand for the cool price of $250,000 (all of the money went to burning bibles and imprisoning Christians...er, xians).

tailgater,

of course no self-pity. i was with the radical islamic terrorists, two-stepping with satan and mao, working to tear down america and murder all of its citizens--including usahog, RICKAMAVEN, and my own mother--so i felt right at home and happy. you'd know this if you kept up with reading 65igotaman's crusade against my soul.

the Ironic thing here is John.. all those folks you Slam so moderatly.. are the very same ones who fought for the Freedoms of this Great Nation and your Soul!!!!

the Question was have you been to the Middle East?

I should have posted it this way " are there any Military Brothers or Sister who've been to the Middle East... and then I would have left you out of this topic Explicitly...meaning your .02 cents would not mean Jack Squat in refrence to this Topic!!!!
also meaning you quite Frankly would not fit into this Group Discussion.. also emplying for you to take a Hike!!! thus keeping this thread clean of your liberal Spew!!!!! and open to Military Brothers of the Leaf Middle East and also known as area around South East Asia...

So John have you been to the Middle East?

Actually Hog, his original response was "yep", so I assume he has been.
I, on the other hand, have never been.

I started the thread jack, but only to bust Johns cajones.

I enjoy a good stoning as much as the next guy, but let's wait until it's deserved.
My guess is we shant wait long...

Boy, it is getting to the point that Cbid might have to add “no political posting” to their list of no no’s.

Anyway, I was pressed for time when I replied earlier so here’s the full story.

Was in Dhahran for Desert Shield/Storm. Was also there during the Kobar towers bombing. We later moved operations to Al Kharj Air Base, which later became known as the recently closed Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB).

Later I server two 179 day tours in Oman. One in Muscat, at a small military annex at the Seeb International Airport and one in Thamarit a year later.

USAHOG: As I've written elsewhere in this forum, I'm a '68-69 Vietnam veteran. I have traveled as a civilian extensively in the Middle East.

Your comments directed at Jdrabinski assume a tone which is extremely disrespectful and, IMHO contrary to an open and free discussion of issues. While you may disagree with his point of view, as I often do myself, there is no need to take the discussion to the level of personal insult. It does none of us any service, and discredits anything you may write. Please keep the discussion to the issue!

Kcody, "Was in Dhahran for Desert Shield/Storm. Was also there during the Kobar towers bombing. We later moved operations to Al Kharj Air Base, which later became known as the recently closed Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB)."

thanks.. this is what I was intending for this thread... "Al Kharj Air Base" Als Garage LOL

2 days before the Kobar Towers our unit left Al Jabar Air Base Kuwait.. 1996 we at the time were also on high alert for possible Terrorist Bomb threats... and then Kobar Towers went up..
I also did a tour at PSAB...1999
hard to believe the US Military allowed Osama Bin Ladin construction company to build PSAB huh??

Steve*R, I have kept the Discussion to the Issue..

and I also remember reading your posts about your tours in Vietnam... on this topic I misdirected its intent by not spicifically stating Military Brothers an Sisters.. if you have not noticed I am trying to side tract and avoid Johns Blatent attacts on Issues... thus this one he would not have any bearing on what so ever...
I'm sorry if you feel I am directly calling him out of this post... but there are many times he has came out directly in a demoralising way...

btw Steve*R, Again Thanks to you for your service to this Great Land!!!

Tailgator I knew what your post was refering to...

usahog, I don't think you understood tailgater's post, actually. Reread the thread. My answer:

yep.

Not military. Sorry, I've done something different with my life. Not better, not worse, just different.

This was the Base I could call my Second Home.. and would like to locate someone still there if Possible...
the last of the U.S. forces at Ahmed Al Jaber air base were leaving Tuesday

http://www.military.com/NewsContent?file=FL_kuwait_102203

I did 3 tours to this base seems like from beginning to end... in 1996 there were only maybe a total of 500 Americans and it was all Tent City then... I went back for my last tour in 2002 and it was all built up with well over 6000 folks at any one time...

I was over there during the first go-round in Desert Shield. Since I was a single parent at the time, the pulled me back to Germany before the fighting broke out. Was in Saudi and Qatar for about 90 days.

Funniest part was when some idiot decided to cut down on the sand blowing around by filling white stone in around all the tents. Not only did that give a good bombing grid from above, it blinded the Heck out of you when you stepped outside.
