I’m sure most of you have heard about the Iraqi… correction… Saddam’s torture tape. I’ve just seen it and wonder where the outrage is? Now I’m not here to argue the fact that America “should” have waited for UN resolutions… but where is the outrage over this tape?
America goes to war and people were outraged and protested our empirical ways. “Peace lovers” were outraged that we’re slaughtering innocent civilians. Movie stars were outraged because America had no right to interfere with the affairs of others.
Now we are seeing people getting beheaded in public, dropped off of buildings, fingers cut off, wrists being broken and numerous other things…. but where is the outrage?
Go to www.nytimes.com and this story isn’t even on the homepage, but a story about Democrats “prevailing” to block a Bush nominee is.
Go to www.latimes.com and this story isn’t even on the homepage, but a story of US soldiers “rampaging” Afghanistan is.
I tell you where the outrage is…. Right here.
