The local little league president, was caught embezeling money from the league. What a jerk!

My son is not old enough play yet, but I may volunteer for it because the league can'nt find any parents that want to make the time.

Anyway, its not an awful story just dissapointing.

My mother and father helped run a local league. (assuming your talking about baseball) It was great for me as a kid. It took a lot of their time, but I know they really enjoyed it.. Are you wanting to coach, run as commissinor, concession chair.. etc.. if you need any help let me know..

johnfs,

I hope you have a lot of time to give to being the League Presdient. I have been an Executive BOD Member, Purchasing Agent/Equipment Director, for a local San Jose little league for the past 5 years. Have been involved with league as a parent and coach for almost 10. It is time consuming and at times can be like having a second job. A thick skin is also required, as in most youth sports its the parents/coaches/other vlounteers that make it tough. I am not trying to talk you out of taking on the task, on the contrary, I applaud you for wanting to do so, its just that such a position can be very demanding.

Peace Out
