What dictates which cigar you pull out of your humidor? Is it time of day, what you're drinking, what you had for dinner, etc? Or do you choose your drink and meals based on your cigar preference of that day? How detailed do you get? If you like Cabernet Sauvignon do you ever pick a particular vintage based on your smoke?

Geez! How about "the woman's not looking. Quick! get outside." Normally a two cigar goodnight smoke is my habit. Usually a natural, then a maduro. I am a beer drinker so I usually try to match the beer with the cigar. Right now, it's too hot for Stouts or Porters so I stick with the IPA and lighter Ales. If I could only get my hands on some St. Arnolds Brown from Houston there would be no choosing beers.

Not too detailed here, but I do stick with natural wrappers in the morning with coffee (any time of the day, if it's coffee, I prefer a natural wrapper) and heavier cigars at night with a good beer. Love the maduros! The heavier the meal, the heavier the cigar. I attempted to go against my little "rules" this morning 7am, smoking a Genuine Counterfeit Cuban with coffee on an empty stomach, and my head was spinning! Tasted good but definitely lit me up!

What a thought provoking post! I just go to one of the humidors and choose based on the mood and time of day! Close a big deal, then it is ISOM, loose a deal then it is bargain time or some stick that I "won" and just want to get rid of! Like Naturals in AM and Maduros or Oroscos late in day and evening. AAAARRRrrrgghhhhhhh. Sooooo soo close. No they do not. I'm gonna have to make a road trip. Interesting review on it though. "we have *never* encountered a smoke that was not enhanced by the Brown ale." Nice....

A good smoke ia a good smoke. If it's white wine go light if it's red wine go robust. If it's red meat go hearty, fish or chicken go montecristo. If it's italian go Zesty if it's fried chicken go claro. Or just screw it all and smoke what you like

What are the factors for me to choose a smoke. lol, I could go on for days. I have 3 humidors, all full, one glass top and two solid boxes. Anyways, I keep all my favorite smokes in my glass top humi because I stand there for like 15 minutes trying to decide which one I want to smoke. It's a drawn out process, all I own is maduro's so that keeps it somewhat simple. I think about how much time I have. Am I going to drink w/ it? Am I going to drink and watch a baseball game w/ it? Am I going to go outside or stay inside? lol, yeah, they're all pretty dumb questions but that's how I smoke. Btw, I'm in Alaska so all the heavier beers I can drink year round. I'm a huge lover of Sam Adams, Guiness, Murphy's, well you get the point. I think I'm done yapping now. Sorry. lol

Do you have access to St. Andrews? One of my favorites.

Kid, you're in Alaska and one of your questions is "indoors or outdoors"??? Are you kidding? You can't smoke Indoors, the Igloo will melt!!!

lol, I don't live in an igloo, and if I did...it would be a smoke house! Yeah, I'm going to be in Alaska for just about 2 more years. I'm in the military stationed up here, so I guess you can imagine how bad I can't wait to leave. Anyways, the Sox game is on...be back lata.
