Homebrew,
You can't quit posting on the misc. board just because some people don't support their arguments or only use sources that are partisan in nature. You can leave for a number of reasons but not for a perceived offense that you also are guilty of committing. That would be quite a double standard.
After all, wasn't it you that stated "I'm just saying, you take away the white supremacists, and the confederate sympathizers, and Bush's support is non-existant, in the south." In one broad sweeping motion you portrayed anyone in the southern states as being a white supremist if they voted for Bush. I do not recall you supporting this argument in any way, even from partisan sources. This makes you guilty of the exact same offense that you are now citing as your reason for leaving the miscellaneous board. I don't recall anyone leaving the board when you didn't support your argument.
To support my argument, here's the thread:
http://www.cigarbid.com/...geDisplay=0000000015445 Look at it this way, they're just following your example of not supporting arguments! Don't live in glass houses!
By the way, to have an unbiased argument, would both sides already agree on the issue?
The issue that has totally got lost in this whole mugging story is that the old man needs to be locked up to prevent bigger problems later in life. Now that he has had this incident, he will get fed up with NY and pack up and move to West Palm Beach, Florida. Once there, he will buy a large Cadillac and menace Florida motorists daily. Come the next presidential election, he will be confused by a butterfly-style ballot and vote for Pat Buchanan. Locking him up now will prevent Pat Buchanan from gaining any more votes in the 2004 election. I could be wrong on this theory.
He could move to Fort Lauderdale!
